Ayinde Bakare, Tunde Nightingale, Akin baba Poole and Kayode Fashola’s songs were my mum’s favourite music being Omo Eko pataki that my mum was. My mum was a proper Omo Eko and a socialite in Lagos. I got to like there music because these are the music that my beloved late mum listened to when I was growing up. This has brought my dearest and beloved mum back to me, those years were fun. Love you so dearly mammy, may your soul continue to rest in peace and aljannah firdaos to you mum amen

Thank you very much Planetolusola for these Ayinde Bakare's uploads. They are very memorable to us Lagosians of ages 60 and above. I would be very grateful if you would upload more Ayinde Bakare's songs for us old Lagosians overseas or, please inform us where to find more to download ourselves. May God continue to bless you and your handworks.

WOW !!! Eko ile aromi sa legbe legbe. Ayinde Bakare lit Lagos nightlife of the 50s till his demise with his music. Remembered dad playing these tunes as a kid back then. Beautiful memories of Lagos Island - from Ita Faji, Olowogbowo, Ofin, Ereko, Campos, Bamgbose, Oke Popo, Epetedo, Tokunbo, Oshodi et al, had a vibrant nightlife beyond the comprehension of the present generation. An era swept into the annal of history. Eko Akete ile ogbon mo ki e. Eyin Omo Eko nile, loko ati oke okun mo ki yin. Eko agbe wa o. Eko oni baje o. walexmi, ire o!

I feel you Mr Balogun, but surprised you didn't include Lafiaji in your area list. Am from Delta but born and bred in Lewis street enroute to Obalende. Those were the good old days and I think the younger generation missed out. I would be grateful if you can post me the title of his song which goes ' Kokin se ewe iyeye ko sewu fun e o Akanni Hakeem imo abimu'

@@anthonynosegbe9349 Apologies to you my brethren. It was an honest oversight. l had some good schoolmates - St. Timothy's College, Onike, - from Delta around Pike and Sandgross areas in the '70s. Respect!
