That was excellent Justin! Thank you for taking the time to share that very helpful tip. I’m winding or rolling’ hmm not sure of the term but anchor rope, 150’ and now it will look pro hanging in the garage, Thanks again
The ropes are durable and just like the ones at the gym. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTFxba6lNeHrZaHoY_LXe6ZzmMfaipnwu Caution: I bought the 50 feet ropes and they are long and heavy so make sure you have the space (I do have the space). If I was to do it again I would probably get a shorter version as 50 feet (25 feet each side) is a little long.
BTW, so the ends don't wander thru the loops and cause a mess, I pull both of them thru like the center, so they cannot tangle. It adds no effort to the unpacking for the next use, to pull all three cinches at once. PS: It does not hurt to verify that you end at about the same 'true' center of your rope each time, in case a section of the rope has been stretched significantly enough to be a risk.
I have not tried it on any recent ropes, but some years ago I noticed a fairly permanent (still noticeable after several days of climbing) kink where it had hung by a single strand over a coat hook for a couple of seasons. The kink might have been from flow distortion of the mantle, but it definitely would have some force 'focusing' effect under sudden loading, not to mention just looking & feeling suspicious to a climbing companion.
@@you2tooyou2too I think he's talking about carrying the rope into or out of a crag by that "handle." I definitely would not store the rope by a single strand but I can see carrying it for a short time.
And How do you uncoil it? When you sart klimbing the Next Time? Just Thron it on the ground, Warp the Endspiele of and go? Or is there and Important patern i have to Follow? Ty!
60-70 meters I presume. Dude, 600 ft is a lot of rope. Maybe you can make longer coils and use the same way. I recomend start with a coil so at the end you can have quick access to both of the ends.
Do not coil your rope like this. Using a double strand while coiling prevents feeling potential faults in the rope as opposed to coiling one strand where you can run your had along and feel everything which you can't do with two strands in your hand. This is a cheap way to end up with an easy finish. Don't be stupid and lazy all at the same time; don't coil your rope like this. I challenge you to find even one pro who does this.

Tricky Editing... From 1:48 to 1:51 the coil was 'wrapped' the Opposite way. HaHa Thanks
Thanks I forgot how to do it 😊
Thanks
Oh. Good to know.
Greetings from Germany!

Nice one but... Stressing the rope carrying from that loop, lol. It can handle an elephant's fall. :) thumbs up by the way.

Elephants weigh 6000-13000 lb, while ropes can hold 1900 lb. I wouldn't recommend it.

M Haydn it’s called stacking a rope your can probably find video online
Awesome tip, would you happen to have a link to buy that rope? i really like the pattern of it
Thanks
Janet
Glad you liked the tip, and unfortunately we are currently sold out of all of our climbing ropes. - Chris

“Time to retire” zooms in on microscopic fibers sticking out
What do you do with the rope once you retire it? I can use such rope for horse related purposes.
If it is point damage, I'll cut out the bad spot and use the rest. If long enough, for climbing, if not, for knot practice.
excelent!!
Merci!

Hey, Let's Coil Up This Rope
Cool
I could not make it work
What was the length of this rope? Looks like maybe 300 feet? I'm looking for a way to quickly store a 600 footer.
