@@fabiod9972 no, Beijing has never operated any dual-power trolley bus with diesel generator. All of them have lithium battery. Older models had lead acid batteries and they were all withdrawn.
pretty often… the 200+ km system supports 30 routes and almost 2000 buses, but it’s overhead wires haven’t improved too much from 1950s Soviet Union technology. These switches are still controlled by voltage drop, rather than remote controls common in the Western world.
