Aw thank you for watching! I hope everyday you do something little that scares you and helps you fight those demons. You never know one day you may feel comfortable to go explore these areas yourself ❤️
This makes me so happy! I’m about to buy my first narrowboat in UK. Plus my parents live by the Canal du Midi - Dad has been in hospital for 2 months - these vids will entertain him greatly. 🎉Can we get a huge ‘Get Well Soon Chris’ ❤ Thanks both Xx
Aw amazing! Good luck to you. Aw our videos are several weeks behind so hopefully he will be home by the time he catches up! Hope your dad gets well soon ❤️
A lovely place to be, I’m well jell! We tend to go to France on holiday and always cook at least one spag bol - it’s become a traditional (as well as buying a melon but not eating it for some reason)! We’ve done a Le Boat trip on Le Canal du Midi and also on Le Lot river (also with Le Boat) a few times - the bonus with the river is that you can swim too. We saw two people fall into the canal when we were there, one in Carcasonne and the other in a lock 😳 I hope you have/had a great week Danni & Joe 😃
Aw that’s amazing! Yes definitely don’t want to go swimming in the canals over there. We would love to go on other trips with them. Haha next time get some Parma ham to go with the melon you might finish it off then!
Hi both what a lovely boat Joes face is light up like a kid on Xmas morning with the toy he asked for lol glad you having a great time tc of each other the oldies 🤗🤗
Wow. What a stunning boat and yes to that sideways Manoeuvring woohooo think our little narrowboats could do with that kind of assistance. Great vlog guys, really enjoyed it. 😊
Andorra is basically 90% Spanish for food, Pas de la Case on the french side being 95% french and has all the charm of a sewer. Beloved for day bus trips from the Occitan for cheap duty free. Always go over the mountain to the Spanish side. It is worth a trip if you find the time. It is pretty common to find Andorrans who don't speak french, even thought it is an official language, but most speak English as well as Spanish.
Real6 fancy,d this and will look into for next year,we had a very similar Boat from Richardsons @Stalham in Norfolk, you should try it as well.bravo Blessings
We just bought a 55ft cruiser stern, not yet moved on but have already been eyeing up holidays in France then this video pops up on my time line 👌 love your videos guys and can not wait for the next.
Amazing! We highly recommend it especially in shoulder season so it’s not too busy/hot! Le boat have several destinations but if you like food and drink we would suggest Canal du Midi for sure from what we have read and seen 😍 let us know if you go on a holiday!
Hi Guy's loving the new venue and le' boat! crazy £199,000 Wow! Great weather and so much to see. You pointed out "Northwich" that's where i live in Cheshire it's twinned with Dole France. Enjoy your holiday and cruise. 🤗
Wow, nice experience, thanks for sharing it! Nice boat, that's going to make it hard to return back to your traditional narrowboat. Sitting in a comfortably seat in a conditioned environment sure beats standing out in the weather for 8 hours with the tiller.
We hired le boat on the thames for august bank holiday week. The guy at the boat yard was french i think he gave a quick boat tour and left us with no tuition. 200 yards was my 1st lock. Found out after 2 days the steering was low on oil and was taking around 25 turns lock to lock. Only got as far as henley due to a lock closure. Look forward to seeing the rest of the thames when you're back.
Hi. Danny and Jo, lived your vids in France 😊 I had two weeks on the canal two years ago I loved it! Hoping to go back soon, although I only had a small boat but was great in the locks . I live on my boat in Sandwich in Kent and love being on the river . She is a 34 ft ex B-roads cruiser unfortunately the river is tidal and can run at 6 knots and as I have not a lot of draft I can’t control her so stay moored ! That’s enough of me going on lol keep up the good work ie the videos love to see what your up too! Stay safe Keith .
Yeah it was beautiful over there! Oh wow that sounds like fun, the Avon that we were on gets pretty fierce in flood but calms right down and is virtually still in the summer!
Hi guys, been watching your channel for quite a while, living in Somerset it’s nice to see local people with TH-cam channels , this episode brought back loads of memories for me, I worked in Beziers in 1998 as a sailing instructor ( god I’m old ) 😂 , thanks for the trip down memory lane 👍🏻
Aw lovely! We do love Somerset, just a shame it doesn’t have any canals we can explore (without a lorry into Bridgwater). Wow that’s incredible job! We did enjoy Béziers 😊
Wow this brings back some memories.... 25+ years ago Mrs G and myself had a week on the Charente (It flows through Cognac) Always said it was the nicest holibob we ever went on, No bow thruster though 🤣 Glad to see you had a lovely time.. A boat from Northwich you say....Who'd live in Northwich !!! You must visit sometime 😁 Take care both of you, Regards Steve
We took 4 weeks back in 1994 to do the Midi and Lateral from the Etang de Thau almost to Bordeaux and return, 568 miles and 302 locks. I used Locaboat out of Argens. Of all the canals I've done in France, this route was my least favorite. I much prefer the Burgundy area, esp. the Nivernais. But your boat was MUCH more luxurious than ours. (I hate those oval locks on the Midi.)
Looks great! Sadly - wanting to do the caledonian canal, le boat, bottom line, wanted around £3000 for a weeks' hire. A narrowboat on the Union and Forth & Clyde was far less! Crazy price for just 2 of us. Such a shame.
Well what a surprise that was. That has always been a dream of mein to rent a boat on that exact cannel. Ever since I saw the film from Rick Stein the english cook travling on a barg all the way to the Med. I bet getting back on your own boat was like going from a Rolls to Mini. By the way the coffee you made looked very strong, enough to put hair on your chest. Take care. Steve from Germany.
Aw yes Rick Stein has been on the Canal du Midi, we actually watched some of them before going on there ourselves. Would definitely recommend it if you’re into your food like us!
Great blog lovely Boat Joe you soon got the hang of the bow thruster makes life a lot simpler,Danny what did you think of being behind the wheel and not a tiller, hope the weather says fine for you enjoy the cruise till next time take care and enjoy 😉 cheers
We picked the boat up at Port Cassafieres and dropped it back off at Carcassonne, so the southern section really. Chateau De Paraza is a must stop, beautiful winery, Carcassonne also stunning
Thank you so much! Before Brexit we would have loved to have taken our boat across to France and along further. You should definitely give it a go! My jumper is from Joe’s mum, shop bought unfortunately, I’d love to learn to crochet one day. Thanks for watching!
Hi Danni and Joe. Well that looked a nice trip. You’ve been spoiled by having bow thrusters! Did it make it hard to return to your boat? Take care. Nick
Thank you for watching! Yes they are definitely a luxury although I rather be introduced to them on this boat rather than having them and not knowing how to navigate without them haha
Huge thank you to Le Boat for an amazing week in France, to find your perfect boating holiday look no further - www.leboat.co.uk/?Media&DanniandJoe&
A wonderful time 💞 with you guys.
I made myself right to home on that river yacht.
Thank you so much for sharing.
🌿✌️🌿
Thrusters make the hard part of boating less stressful and enjoyable. Happy boating 🎉🎉
Absolutely! If we ever get a new boat it’s on the list 😂
Well that was a pleasant surprise you kept that quiet - or did I miss something!! Great fun! looking forward to part 2. Cheers Danni & Joe
Kept it as a little surprise! It was such a lovely trip we’d love to explore more rivers and canals for sure! Thank you Paul 😊
Le mont d'or c'est un bonheur ! mais c'est pas le fromage de tout les jours ..
It was delicious!
Awwww... thanks for taking us. I love france but i have crippling anxiety so i dont go out. This was really fun. ❤❤❤❤

Absolutely! What a dream haha
This was brilliant! What a fun trip! Can't wait to see part 2 ❤😊
Thanks you two ❤️
Enjoyed. Have done the Canal Du Midi and the Petit Rhone myself.....All the best, Tricia and Neil.....
Amazing! Would love to explore the whole canal one day 😊
Looking forward to you upcoming trip with a Windjammer 🤩🤩
Watch this space!

That’s interesting to know! We heard it’s a tax haven until you leave! We would love to visit one day 😊

Oh we did, wait until the next vlog 😂
Wow France. Love it. Have a fun journey on your yacht. Looks lovely. Hope the weather is nice and hot. Love you both. Take care👍😎 be safe X
Thank you so much! Yes the weather was stunning for the most part!
In your wrap shot, the light through the doors was beautiful. Well worth the work to get them done.
Thank you so much!
I was expecting to see you bobbing about on the Thames ! 😂
One more in France then back on the Thames!
Oh Lordy you two what a change! Loved the le boat fabulous. Love watching you two. Have great week 😊
Thank you! It was incredible we can’t wait for you to watch the second half!
Oh yes must show the Mrs Danni's crochet top she'll be wanting one of those (or is it home made ?). Super smart
Joe’s mum found it in her wardrobe! It’s shop bought unfortunately but not for where or when from!
Wow, nice experience, thanks for sharing it! Nice boat, that's going to make it hard to return back to your traditional narrowboat. Sitting in a comfortably seat in a conditioned environment sure beats standing out in the weather for 8 hours with the tiller.

Agreed! So much room, we could see ourselves moving aboard haha

Loving your content guys I'm looking on purchasing a narrow boat soon hopefully we'll pass ❤
Aw good luck on your search!

Aw it’s lovely to hear it’s still one of your fondest holidays! I’m sure we will. Thanks for watching!
@@baronblimey It's less formal word for holiday 😀
Narrowboat Morning Star (Narrowboat Life Unlocked channel) has both bow and stern thrusters.
Living the dream!

Loved this! It looked amazing, definitely added to our travel bucket list! 😍

Bay-zee-ay
Think I prefer the Somerset pronunciation 😂
@DanniandJoe Just trying to help; I've found in my travels around the world that the locals appreciate it when you try to speak the language.
Loved this! ❤
Thank you so much!
Great blog lovely Boat Joe you soon got the hang of the bow thruster makes life a lot simpler,Danny what did you think of being behind the wheel and not a tiller, hope the weather says fine for you enjoy the cruise till next time take care and enjoy 😉 cheers
It was a lovely change for sure! We can’t wait for you to watch the second half! Thank you ☺️
How awesome was that. Is it GRP or like the Lissen boats, made of steel ? Looked amazing fun. Best wishes
These are GRP but really sturdy - I heard of one actually crashing through a lock on the Thames & coming off better than the gate did!
Looks fun , love your videos
Aw thank you ❤️
Hi was wondering did you make your lovely crochet jumper or did u buy it??
It’s shop bought unfortunately. Joes mum found it in her wardrobe for me. I would love to learn to crochet one day ❤️
Nice tag
Cheers!
Wow, that steering !...How many turns lock to lock ?...Change that ratio or you'll be constantly whipping the wheel !...
I think it was 5 complete turns lock to lock!
Which segment did you do?
Any location that we absolutely must stop at if we go?
Thank you 🛥️
We picked the boat up at Port Cassafieres and dropped it back off at Carcassonne, so the southern section really. Chateau De Paraza is a must stop, beautiful winery, Carcassonne also stunning
