Short one this time, I couldn't resist after seeing Suichan's antics during the stream. I hope I did it justice... I don't usually even attempt to sub things with more than a couple overlapping voices, so I know I missed some stuff, and I probably mistranslated a few others, so don't hesitate to bring it up if I messed up. I also know the whole thing was pretty busy... But then the stream itself was pretty busy. I didn't really know how to condense the information in a way that can fully be absorbed in real time. Hopefully it doesn't deter from how hilarious this whole thing was.
Two quick clarifications, I translated the money amount to dollars for readability (I went for 100 yen to a dollar, I know that's not the current rate but it's easier!). Also, if anyone was confused by the colors I chose for the players, those are actually the colors of the players in the game (check out the beginning of the stream if you're not sure what I mean). I was on the fence about it because Suichan and Shion's colors are fairly close, but then the semi-official colors I've been using would have Miko and Aqua even closer, color-wise, so something had to be changed either way. I'm sure it's not really that confusing past the first few lines though.
Most of the work this time was obviously translating the interface (not always that well), and the whole thing is significantly shorter than most of my other clips, so in the end there weren't many random added tidbits or silly edits... I also left quite a bit of the interface untranslated, since I chose to focus on the romance/kids part of the playthrough, I figured it was enough text to follow already without hearing about every stat change or drawn card.
The other thing that took me a long time didn't even make it into the video. Since the VTuber models were on a colored background, I figured it would work if I keyed the background out entirely. The problem was that the background colors were too close to skin tones in some cases, and Shion just kept losing her neck, among other weirdness... So I just went back and gave up on the keying, simply cropping and moving the boxes instead. I think it worked out in the end, though.
On a more personal note, I want to apologize for taking so long since my last video! I'm sure at least a couple people out there were impatient. I pulled a Haachama and was very sick for a good long while. I'm technically still in treatment at least until the end of the year, but it's not life-threatening or anything. I plan to keep working on my videos, even if I might not be able to be terribly quick.
I still don't have much of a plan for what I'm working on next, whether it'll be a whole series or standalone stuff like this one... As usual, I welcome any suggestions you might have!
