I am commenting Jan. 2 2025. I, like you, am a outdoor enthusiast / mountaineer / skier / rock and ice climber.....or at least I was in my younger days!! I remember sleeping in snow caves, winter camping at -40 F, rock climbing all over the United States, Solo backpacking trips of 10 days or more and all the fun stuff. At 65 years old, I'm feeling all the "fun" I had in my younger days!! Just wait. : )
I thought I had a monopoly in bad weather in my little corner of the world, and in going out with said bad weather. And then I found this channel 😊. Loving it.
I can't believe the weight of the pack you carry . I'm tired after carrying a bag of potatoes home. But I guess being 82 years old is a bit of an excuse
hi andraz i have been watching camping type content on youtube for what feels like years, can't believe the algorithm didn't show me your content until very recently, you're a very inspiring soul and keep doing what you love! love your content
The craftsmanship on that snow cave is impressive! I’ve found that smoothing the walls helps prevent dripping and makes the night much more comfortable.
I've learned to always put on dry socks before getting in my sleeping bag. If I get in there with wet socks my feet will freeze all night unless I put a hot water bottle down there but I hate that. It's super uncomfortable to me. If I was dangerously cold that's another story.
So I use a backpack carryon. For my travels. It’s about 15 pounds. That’s enough for me to carry lol. I’m 60 so. Loved the dugout. Were you actually warm in there? I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now. Very enjoyable.
I have the snow above 1000 feet and can drive above 6000 feet to a Resort Lodge in an hour. Or sit back in a warm bed with TH-cam in my lap. Guess what I will do ?

Why did you destroy your snow cave? Is it a leave no trace kind of thing?
Mostly because it's satisfying haha
May I mail my snowshoes 🥾🤷♂️😊
what trousers do you use during winter? hardshell some kind of? thx for your reply! :)
They’re not hardshell, but I do use them in the winter sometimes.
It’s a Slovenian brand -Karibu :)
For hardshell pants I’m using Marmot, and for skiing I use Mammut Extreme.
Is there never the danger of wolves or bears may considering you a dinner?
Why did you wreck the snow cave?
Because someone may be fall into it if they are skiing. Best to make it flat before leaving.
I almost feel like buying Andraz a new stove with legs..🙄
Make fresh bread with honey butter..
haha kva maš ti ideje :) car
