I like the skill build you got going but my question is: is LD-EQ affected by strong will? Ive seen someone do 60k+ in arena with it. Incredibly strong skill even though i perfer heavy arms better.
I'd just like to know, why, since you never use a lot of skills that are particular to the iron Paladin. Why do you take Iron Paladin over the other advancements of Chung?
LOL I remember this time period, Imagine had basically all the best chung players. Quickening has been destroyed by so many of us so many times, we always thought he was going crazy but never said a word.
I don't know if you've got any info on this (hopefully you do) but is there any attack speed requirement to catch after Lunatic Blow or can you do it anywhere about like 10-15%?
Hmm Im not sure but its always safe to run 20% attack speed minimum, IP does have an attack speed passive too. As for catching after it, Ive seen people use guard sometimes, but you need noted Lunatic Blow so you'll have some shells left after. Also when against a wall Ive seen people just Z after it. Personally I dont use the skill but it seems damn good, well since the revamp alot of chung skills are ridiculous.
MilkyPoint l Yeah. The main selling point for me on LB is the ridiculous damage plus the fact that it can't be mana broken after the first hit. It's like a 200 MP HA with none of the long cooldown. The damage only gets better when you factor in Strong Will. Funny how Advanced Metabolism Boost's one saving grace was recently made irrelevant when they added a mana gain effect to Strong Will as well. It's basically got nothing going for it anymore since minus crit chance on the opponent is only so useful compared to humongous damage output on everything.
Yeah unbreakable massive damage is a thing going for revamped/new chars lately it seems. Ive been testing out noted Impact Det, for 80mp(barley anything with Metabolism) it does ridiculous damage with my crit/wind III. Also from what Ive seen the mp gain on strong will is going to be on the same level as pre-revamp metabo so only a good 1 extra mp per z/x do 8mp with magic neck, while metabolism gets boosted even further to 12 mp .-. So balanced.. Also watch out, Ive got a new IP vid comming in in a few more hours. Its time I brought him back a bit.
MilkyPoint l Aw gee. Time to get hype. Also, that so? I only really saw the note that they added a mana gain effect, didn't really find out what the change was. Huh, guess metabolism has something going for it after all. Still, I can only imagine that the extra MP point per hit will help *veeeeeeery* subtly. I can actually recall certain situations where lacking literally one or two mana points made the difference because I wasn't paying close attention to the MP number, and it's actually lost me matches a couple times as well. I'm not saying it'll be a massive game changer, but when those kinds of situations pop up, any kind of extra mana is appreciated if you ask me, even if it's just a teeny tiny amount of icing on an already delicious cake. StronkWillsteeledge2gud.
Back then? It was pretty much zzvz x into z active or w/e, then the typical IP combo was a 0 kd attack during the hitstun of certain actives , usually ^vz. But I prefer to do >>^zz into ^x's. Now a days after revamp? You can pretty much scrub zzz active all day with IP and probably still win. Most don't even do that, they just zzvz ^x infinite for constant Iron Howling okis. Play how ever you want, I prefer old IP play style it's much more fun and combo oriented.
Both imo. Full add/red isnt bad for IP but imo he now needs crit as his damage % and modifiers are much higher than before and can make some really big numbers with crit. I went for 40% crit and as much add dmg as I could, alittle over 5k. Granted if I spent tons re identifying and resocketing I could probably push to 7k add and maybe more crit? but Im not gonna bother.
MilkyPoint l Ahh thank you for the useful information!, and you would recommend the same SD gear you have on this video right? (Sorry if I'm asking to many questions, I'm currently working on my IP and I don't know much about him)
Ask as many questions as you want, if you ever have any, always ask It's ok. And honestly no I wouldn't reccomend my SD set im wearing, but Im too lazy to grind for another set. Basically unless you're Add, you want to use glitter for pvp. It's easily the best set. I have 2pc alterasia and 5pc mech because it was built before IP revamp, where I needed to reach 22.5% attack speed.
This was Pre-S3 where IPs damage was lack luster. So my choices of prefference were either Wind, Water, or fire/poison. Wind isn't bad for dmg but imo it's wasted on characters without heavy hitting normals. Water while realistically only increasing your damage by around 25% while the Opponent is under Water III stack is pretty meh when everyones got crazy water resist. So I opted for DoT attributes, Fire damage is craaazy good but its also resisted well from what I've seen. I went with Nature as most people have little resist to it and it's DoT is just under Fire. It's been treating me very well, tho you can't always tell because of client sided procurements on attributes.
Ahh, I see. You see, when I play chung, I like to use wind or some kind of DoT attribute for the DPS but I use wind because it ignores 40% of my opponents defenses and normally crits + regular damage. Also I believe reduces their KD rate (S3 could have changed that, I have no idea.) But then I go fire next if not wind because of the DoT and it helps me support damage. So to summarize I did what you did just I look for wind and not nature, I'm making a chung video as of now and it's FG but I'm only level 28. No attribute on sparring weap due to only having like 3 mil ed. lol
I forgot to say, so I have nature el shards and i was thinking of going fire but because the DoT is just under fire + atk speed debuff should I go for that? Knowing half the population of elsword stacks crit and attack speed (including me) would nature work well?
Remember it's all about the common resists in the meta of high ranks. Most try to resist everything, but ofc can't unless they're packing a crazy setup. And the amount of resist it takes to kill an attribute. Like Light dies at around 100 resist, Dark around 200-250. Where as Water is good even over 250 lol. You can see the balanced KOG tries so hard to put in here lol. Anyway the attack speed debuff is great but as an IP you out hitstun most people anyway, it really is just there for the damage for me because of the low resists people have to it. Its more like...try what works. Nature felt like CRAP on my WS, but good on my IP. Also remember the multi hitting classes are the ones who take best advantage of stackable attributes, IP kinda falls short there unless you know what you're doing.
Yeah I realized that. I used to piss people off my IS but stacking poison x3 and the didn't know it reduced attack speed to they always raged lol. But thank you for responding. When I finish the video for my FG I'll make sure to make another one because on that one I could have done SO much better with my combos.
IP has some damn good counters to Swallow Assault FUN FACT, SD has a damn good counter to basically everything in the game lool. Also its very obvious when they chain skills offscreen or try to rush in with a Rock Crash to cover ground while in super armor then cancel into swallow assault.
This is before IP revamp, so alot has changed. Let me get you a good post-revamp IP pvp build. brokendisc.web.fc2.com/elsword/skillsimulator/English/revamp2/fg.html?700001120000000000002000002001011700000014140000001101080007000006060004 That's pretty much it. Feel free to throw SP into w.e u want, like Lunatic Fury if you do teams, its amazing. You'll notice you won't have enough skill slot for everything, thats because all those skills are amazing in general now and are prefference but you can fit them on a skill tree so you have a lot to work with. I didn't even take steel edge but I put it on the build anyway, its easily the strongest 100mp in the game now, hitting harder than many 200mps. Siege isn't even needed anymore but with Strong Will it makes his siege alot stronger than TTs, and pretty much any magic skill becomes retardedly strong. Aiming shot is also stupid good to keep poking with as it does decent chunks for low mp cost, but I hate that skill in general so I don't use it unless to finish people at low hp or poke at runners.
AYE MILKYSON! If you socket enough move speed, you can actually do the ^vzz combo and catch with >>z, Followed by a ^vz Byulnim 27 used dat, you should check it out m8
YamatoCurse I can do that already. It just depends on the character you use it against. Some characters fly farther back than others, like raven/elesis. While some like chung let you do it easily. Its also affected by the frame rate of the players. Its basically unsafe to do normally, so I dont bother really.
MilkyPoint l I guess tho. I need to like, work on a lot of things tho. I've only started taking 1v1 seriously for about 3 months now. I used to just be a CometCrasher 3v3 DC.
It's actually pretty crappy and I just hastily MS painted the background to be black lol. Also I no longer have it D: This is the best I can do for you. puu.sh/bVOpX/5561ae60e6.jpg
2:08 That crazy lucky catch xD
Very beautiful playstyle, I actually enjoyed it

I'd just like to know, why, since you never use a lot of skills that are particular to the iron Paladin.
Why do you take Iron Paladin over the other advancements of Chung?
Give me all the BGMs you used pls.

To this day, that Chung still regrets his choice of choosing Tactical Trooper.

What's the normal combo for IP? Like right after a catch what's the most common combo? :o
Back then? It was pretty much zzvz x into z active or w/e, then the typical IP combo was a 0 kd attack during the hitstun of certain actives , usually ^vz. But I prefer to do >>^zz into ^x's.

Both imo.
