My boy is BACK!! He looks as sick as ever. He was always my favorite Kyokugenryu character (tho Robert is definitely a close second) because his moves have so much impact and brutality compared to everyone else. I’m glad they didn’t disrespect him this time and gave him his REAL name back
After years of being relegated to cameos in KOF endings, Marco is back. His Ryuuko Ranbu ending with Takuma XIII Climax looks so good. With the Kyokugen dojo now at Yuri gym, I guess this means Ryo is still away huh.

I’m pleasantly surprised that SNK included the detail of Marco’s lighter palms (& I think soles). SF6 included it for Kimberly & Dee Jay (albeit later in development), but Bamco didn’t for its Black characters. Gotta give SNK the W.
In my opinion, if certain details on humans aren’t included for other things, then the lighter palms not being included shouldn’t be that big a deal in the end. Neat when it’s there for sure, but that’s about it.

Man, Marco really took his training with Takuma or Ryo mad serious! He's like a combo of Ryo and Takuma with a tad bit of Robert now. His Hidden Gear at the end (Ultra) is like Serious Mr. Karate from SVC Chaos, but a MUGEN version I saw of him once. Just amazing!
I’d like to point out that this stage contains new lore, it looks like Yuri took over kyokugen(probobly spelt that wrong) karate This stage has signs that say Yuri fitness club so I’m assuming this stage is her Gyn another thing I love about this stage is it even has a bear which reminds me of Kuma from Tekken
Yuri didn’t take over Kyokugen, she probably helped expanding it along with Robert (since Ryo’s busy participating Buriki One tournament during MOTW). Also the bear is Marco’s partner, he can be seen in Marco’s stage in MOTW).
The bear is presumably the one from Marco's Garou stage. I don't think Yuri has taken over Kyokugenryu Karate. It sounds like Marco was running it but lost his dojo, so he moved his students into Yuri's gym, which besides the drums looks like a normal gym. Now it's got karate guys running on treadmills and using the wall climb.
@@000mjd Wrong, Fatal Fury 1 took place around 1980s to 1990s, while Buriki One took place in 1999 (you can check it in wiki or in the demo clip in the game, the subtitle of the game also is "World Grapple Tournament '99 in Tokyo"). That Ryo's age in Buriki One was a retcon by the game itself just because they didn't want to make Ryo old yet.

Yuri didn’t take over Kyokugen, she probably helped expanding it along with Robert (since Ryo’s busy participating Buriki One tournament during MOTW). Also the bear is Marco’s partner, he can be seen in Marco’s stage in MOTW).
The bear is presumably the one from Marco's Garou stage. I don't think Yuri has taken over Kyokugenryu Karate. It sounds like Marco was running it but lost his dojo, so he moved his students into Yuri's gym, which besides the drums looks like a normal gym. Now it's got karate guys running on treadmills and using the wall climb.

@@000mjd Wrong, Fatal Fury 1 took place around 1980s to 1990s, while Buriki One took place in 1999 (you can check it in wiki or in the demo clip in the game, the subtitle of the game also is "World Grapple Tournament '99 in Tokyo"). That Ryo's age in Buriki One was a retcon by the game itself just because they didn't want to make Ryo old yet.
@@Nhan6241 What you say does not make sense since in MotW Ryo was at his correct age, the 99 in the title only refers to the year the game was released (1999), Ryo also appeared in Fatal Fury Wild Ambition which is a Remake of the first Fatal Fury where he is the same age as in Buriki One in fact they came out months apart
