HELMET OF SALVATION - Paul actually does clarify this, in 1 Thessalonians 5:8 he tells us to put on for a helmet "the hope of salvation." I have found that remembering and focusing on how the Lord has saved me, and the promise of the World to Come, has been very effective in protecting my thinking
