Death is one of my most favorite topic of Krishnaji's teachings.

Life and death are inseparable and just smooth flowing of nature. It is the attachment and conditioning which results in sorrow of death and happiness in life. Actually, Life is when you are psychologically dead and death is when you are in always conflict, psychologically, by trying to, to prove something, to become something, the conflict between the being and becoming.

Ending while living means, end of psychological mediums like memory, experience, knowledge, thought, means not getting attached or affected by these. Yes, you can think when you cross the road, take a bath, but not like aiming, wish for possession, to live without image, the image of everything.

Non attachment is a controversial and sensitive subject for most people. Even K's discussion partner here looked a bit uncomfortable and stayed rather quiet. Because, of course, if you're not attached to anything at all in life, then that must, by definition, include your own nearest and dearest.

Yes sir. Can you NOT be attached to the very idea of “I”? That’s true freedom. We know continuity but we don’t understand ENDING

And dropping that attachment creates a beauty few will understand because they are so scared of ending the attachment.

Non attachment is an illusion as j Krishnamurthi said, we are attached and that's the only fact we need to confront. Watch his videos where he talks about how we create dualities. When he says attachment is dangerous you have automatically jumped to its opposite but in reality you are attached and non-attachment is just an idea in future you want to achieve (through time). So realising the consequences of attachment (sorrow, pain, jealousy, fear ) the intelligence will say it's stupid to be attached and it's finished right there you don't need days to think about when your house is on fire you quickly act and save your house from burning.

One can end all memory and attachment. We can follow the idea that one cannot enter the timeless state with the baggage of time which is memory and attachment, but is it not heartless and ungrateful and even inhuman to blot out all memory of and attachment to friends, relatives and parents?

Is K suggesting a kind of compromise? Death comes to everyone.
So in order to avoid sorrow, just remove the attachment.
    Isn't it escapism??

May be sanity lies in loving the dear ones when they are alive and leaving their memory when they are dead as simply carrying their memory serves no purpose and is, in fact, against the course of nature.

Whom is the woman he is speaking to? I help pets people have discarded. They all end, and this month almost all of my free time has been spent in pallative care for them. Today another is ending and I have spent all day in her care and comfort. I have spent so much time facing what he discusses here. Some times, life is sorrowful. I find here I wish he had been silent when she was speaking. I wonder what she would have said.

Easy to intellectually understand his words...but that is not what he is getting at in the least. It has to be experiential and that is no so easy....

No he podido comprender nada.

There are two deaths. One is the end of memory, and another is the end of an organism.
First, understand what life is. Biologically, life means an organism that can self-sustain and reproduce. Its purpose is to live. In modern times, we don't have anything to do. Now we are empty, with nothing actually to do because we have more than we need to survive. In ancient times, there was a scarcity of necessities, and we were all constantly engaged in life-sustaining activities. That's why people create their own imaginations and try to prove that, and by doing that, they fulfill their purposelessness. And this imagination that we create to fulfill our emptiness creates problems. It is because we tend not to ask what this is; rather, we ask why, how, and what the meaning of it is without understanding what it is.
And now here we are trying to escape our our evolved memory and processing ability by spirituality by understanding that we are not separate from whole existence and we are trying to eliminate our separate indentity which is evolved for survival because this very nature of a living being that they have this desire mechanically to live and grow and now we are grown and nothing left to do.

Krishnamurti is an interesting character but in this video he talks in circles for 12 minutes...constantly repeating himself about defining loss and really offers no guidance to this woman. Ive noticed him talking in circles before. Anyone else question his "wiseness"

    • @TylerPerkins
      @TylerPerkins 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

The reason why he talks in circles in this video is it's just a clip of a lady who is extremely confused by what he's trying to tell her. So he keeps repeating it. The beauty of what he's saying here, it's simply deeper than you can hear, hence creating the confusion witnessed by his counterpart in the video. It's a simple puzzle piece to the picture he paints throughout his talks. He never gives a straight answer because it's not that easy. You're a possibility only in your growth of awareness through tools such as meditation and listening to greats like him, finding the hidden answers when you are supposed to.

The question itself is the guidance , it will be meaning less if giving you the answer by words. You have to start from the basic training. It seems u don't have enough background "training".
