- This digital countdown timer displays the remaining time set for a deadline/event. The USP of this project is that it is built without using any microcontroller unit. So, It is about going through a fair journey to hardcore digital electronics involving concepts of the clock, counter, and digital logic design: bit.ly/2UUYdmB

Really enjoyed this, great to see some discreet logic and breadboards. This video really could have been much longer demonstrating things on the boards as it went. Thanks!
Cool Project....amazingly explained 💯👌🏻
First time on this channel and subscribed because it delivered what exactly I clicked it for. Thank you ma'am
Excellent presentation, many thanks - exactly the tutorial I wanted.
I understood "let's get through it", but only because I have a big unfinished logic gate project that is haunting me :D
Great video!
One way to fix that!
I didn't know about this CD4060BE chip. Really useful to build clock generators from quartz. I just ordered a bunch of them, thanks for this!
Great project! Nice to see some lower-level stuff than just SBCs and microcontrollers.
Good explanation.👍👍
hello! may i know what software did you use for this project?
Wonderful Project...... its great to watch something built from discrete logic :D
I see some "Great Scott" influence in this presentation!
Ty so much mam, im doing my lab atm, using ttl istead cmos IC, im using 74192 for DCB crcuit and 7447 for 7 segmnt display, i have this problem on designing the whole circuit to stop counting on 0 can someone help me with this?
Good video. Thank you for the tutorial.
Cool.Just missing the soldering and enclosure building parts....
Goodevening Madaam can I have the full schematic diagram of this project? Thank You
Great premiere! It was about time for a descrete logic project!
can we use a AC oscillator used inverter to crrate a desired hertz and then convert the sine wave to square wave and feed it to the counter logic circuit?
You can certainly do that. But are you sure that your waveform is going to be that (quartz like) stable?
@@thepeppertech That can be done using a NPN transistor NOT gate, isn't it? I am also thinking about creating the whole clock counter/decoder using only transistors.
A Well explained DIY stuff. Great work by the mentor and the team. 👏
could you send the whole schema please?
Someone has the schematic diagram in PDF?
Cool project. Gone full-stack with digital!
The link to the seven segment display does not work. Can you post a link to the product you used?
remind me of my digital electronics class.
thanks a lot for explanation.
👍excellent video
Pls, can the schematics for the whole circuitry be made available by anyone that understood it?
Subtitles please.
what was the value of the crystal timer?
2(15) - 32.768kHz
Good
What dees scratch mean?
To start with nothing and then build every piece until finished without any pre-assembled components. Like baking bread with water+flour+egg+yeast and not going to the market to buy a premade loaf.
I am the person who is always fascinated with electronics. I like to build the electronics stuff from scratch.
Damn karnaugh
👍
Not bad, but to make it truly discreet, you have to do it with transistors instead of ICs.
Maybe next time ;)
@@element14presents Actually very interested in a 'truly' discreet level clock. Even just a schematic would be great. But the logic and examples would be super!
Podi
hard to understand - india english :(
Dealing with accents takes practice. Keep at it. I can say with some authority that her accent is easier to decode than a Liverpudlian or Geordie (Liverpool and New Castle England respectively).
Andreas keep at it, you will get better at understanding the Indian accent, especially once your English improves.
Way aye pet.
@@Hacker-at-Large So true. That is why no company would ever make a video in Geordie.
Reet canny yer knaa!
