Mob entertainment already dealt with drama related to issues like taking advantage of quick sell merch and NFTs and even some work places issues, so this is not entirely a surprise. But what is a surprise is the idea that things have gotten so bad that PPT might either get changed from this point onward or even cancelled when it’s doing so well all because of some bad CEOs messing everything up for everyone else.
Honestly, creating Merch is certainly a really long process (Contacting the people that are going to make the product, submitting the design to these people, changing it a little from time to time, having meetings about it, discussing about the price, etc...). So I think it's normal for the Devs to already have 90% of the Product finalized before the Official Trailers and Game Release.

What if it's all a lie? Something thought up by MOB to distract us from what they're REALLY planning for PP4. By everyone thinking that important employees are leaving, and that there's toxicity in the workplace etc etc, it would make us think that chapter 4 would be canceled, or if it did come out, would look and play terrible. I bet it's a ruse, and when chapter 4 comes out it's going to blow us away! Hopefully we'll even be better than chapter 3, which was amazing!

there are 2 problems:
1.3 the most important workers left so it means poppy playtime chapter 4 will be delated
2. if they wont do something the company will go down and we will never see the chapter 4 and there is a chance of steam giving us a refund as they might also cancel selling the game
Well, they already did this with the NFTs. So I am honestly not surprised about the overproduction of the merchandise
The devs said they tried to take the NFTs down and they were sorry. A dev said that the money from the merch goes into funding the company and not their wallets.

I hope things get sorted out. Because I really love Poppy Playtime. It's one of my favorite indie horror games. Hopefully something can be done and everything will go smoothly. I still don't understand how Poppy Playtime is rated 8+ because chapter 3 was pretty dark. But yeah I hope things go well and everything will be sorted.

We Chapter 3 was indeed a banger, but we waited two years for 2 hours of gameplay

Except that the development of Chapter 3 took only 8 months, they didn't it worked on it straight after Chapter 2 from what I understood.
I cant agree with neither tbh, many companies make games and movies to advertise the merchandise anyway. So, it wasn't that difficult to tell, every big company will usually have merchandise for their main income.
As for the second thing, game development takes years and a lot of dedication from the team. You'd think it was easy? The employees literally complained for how difficult it was to code a gas mask that you use for LITERALLY a small portion of the game. And unlike chapter 2, it was more detailed, polished and.. unlike chapter 1.. the buggy mess that is was.

If the game still has the ending, that is good, maybe the player will have a phone with them and then call the police and give them that address all they’re hiding maybe the monsters will starve to death.
