Grew up with Hope Bay, same as my Mom, grandparents, and great grandparents. Fortunate enough to have family that live here. Such a magical place. The glacier holes or “pot holes” are one of the coolest things to see when hiking not to mention the amazing caves and water access only cottages. Love coming up here, truly my happy place.
@@victoriarosepresti698 I grew up with Hope Bay as well. Family cottage on the North side. My cousins still have it. Perhaps we have crossed paths at some point.
@@RetroDiver quite possibly! We would go nearly every summer and Thanksgiving (even for a couple days in the winter some years). We would always take walks around the bay and through the trails. It’s such a beautiful place. If you have ever heard of the Malleck’s they are my family.
Great footage. What you called “the island” I believe is Shoal Cove. A favourite fishing spot of mine growing up, haven’t been there in years so i thank you for showing what it looks like now (the water level this year is the highest it’s been in my lifetime).
Love hope bay. Grew up there. I just took my wife and young kids there to camp this past summer, so they could experience what I grew up with. It was my first time back in 25 years and it was just as perfect.
What’s your favourite part about Hope Bay?

North or South side?
@@RetroDiver North I believe but honestly when you go down the road leading to the bay they are pretty much right by the campgrounds.
