On May 23, 2023, IFF released a new report - "No Small Thing: Addressing Systemic Inequities in Early Childhood Education" - on the state of early childhood education (ECE) in the Kansas City Metro region.
For more than two years, IFF analyzed data and engaged families, ECE professionals, and local stakeholders and advocates in the Kansas City Metro region to learn about their experiences related to child care.
From this data, IFF has produced an analysis that provides a snapshot of a complex regional ECE system that spans five counties and two states. The report confirms the need for change by providing insights to help create meaningful opportunities for children and families to access quality child care.
