UEL headers give it more of that rumble sound. Definitely would sound better with a different exhaust system. I need to get myself some EUL headers on my 2001 2.5RS lol
Just did this myself; had to wrestle endlessly with the bolts on the cat!! The fitment is almost not quite accurate it seems. Some of the bolts on the driver's side header also sucked to tighten with such little clearance.
@@shmooperdooper I agree. In retrospect, I had two sets of hands working on this and I think that helped it go more smoothly. Seems like everything has to be held up all at once. Would be nice if some of the holes were just a little slotted to make it easier. Thanks for watching.
It sounds a bit deeper and better with the headers...keep an eye on the "Engine Light"... it may come on due to more flow on the O2 sensors... Enjoy...

Got the CEL on it tonight, for the first time, a couple of hours into a 3.5 hour highway drive. Anything to worry about, or just clear it and move on with life?
@@CarbonsDIYGarage You can plug in a scanner to be sure it's a P0420 code. I've been having some P0420 codes lately. Only thing I've found is the airbox not properly fitted after an air filter change. I erase them and move on...looks like motor is running rich, notice real dark "smoke" stains in the exhaust tips...Sorry for answering this late.
