Recovering gold using Iron Sulphate

In this video you will see the results of using freshly made iron sulphate .
Gold recovered from:
Sulphuric Acid Stripping cell used to strip gold from pins
Gold recovered from Pinless CPUS
The ferrous sulphate dropped the gold in nice clumps
There were two drops
The Pin-less CPUS gold drop was the cleanest of the two .
I combined both drops later this may have been a mistake , the gold will be cleaned up using HCl Boils and Ammonia.
Total yield of gold was 2.58 grams not bad !!!

Doesn't the solution need to be heated before sulfamic acid addition?

It was used for deNOX , I didn’t heat it ,

@Hill-13 I used to use urea just recently started using sulfamic acid for my deNOX however I've read that the solution needs to be at 194F before the additions of sulfamic, I could be wrong maybe there isn't a difference 🤷

@Hill-13 sure thing :) it's hard to find information on sulfamic acid and gold recovery but I follow several groups and there are a few videos on TH-cam as well. Geo and successful engineer have both posted one and they both mention the heating. Are you familiar with either of those channels?

If you use a gold button to gadge when the reactions completion then lower heating is kinda a must so you can watch the button. The heating bubbles and gold dissolving look similar

Iron will drop out all copper in solution also..so may need to re process

Charolette typically iron sulphate drops gold really nicely .
However the trace amounts that come down are addressed with 3 water boils , HCL boils , three more water boils , an Ammonia wash , more water washes.
