I know 😂 wasn’t expecting it at all , I didn’t think Richard would move it on that quickly, but something came up that he wanted and had to move on the BBX so I’m very lucky . Tamiya have done a cracking job with this release , cheers for watching Pete

Cheers Mads! Yeah I couldn’t believe I got first refusal , Richard might have kept it if this other buggy hadn’t become available. It worked out well though. Definitely worth getting one, drives really nicely

Hi Mark it’s a very cool buggy with a nod to Tamiya’s past but also looking at the future. A very cool release by Tamiya , it handles well, there’s little to no slop and its well spec’d out of the box. I think you will really like it. Richard is a legend and I can’t thank him enough.
I I hope you keep this in your collection permanently.

Exact same thoughts on the Wild one being similar and wanted someone to put them side by side. Surprising the BBX is quite a bit longer. Definitely getting one.
It’s definitely a cool buggy and certainly has some wild one DNA in the BBX design. Tamiya have done a great job with the BBX it’s a very cool buggy. Cheers for watching

Looks a lovely fun handling buggy all good well done Tamiya and looks stunning buddy like you said mate they hit the nail on the head with the BBX. I will probably get one way down the line but no rush and l have something else on my radar!
Hi James. Definitely get yourself a BBX you won’t be disappointed at all. I know I totally thought my luck was out on this one , so a big thanks to Richard. It’s a superb release front Tamiya and generally a quality kit and good spec

Awesome stuff! Glad it all worked out and you even got your slipper clutch back! LOL! I have no idea when I may get mine. Supposed to be in the states but I have not heard anything about them being shipped out yet. It really stinks there is such a shortage and it has taken them a lot longer to get them out in the first place. O'well, first world problems my toy hasn't shown up yet LOL! Glad you got one and it looks great!
Ha ha , I know o got my slipper back , bizzare ! Didn’t think it would pan out this way. I’m sure it never used to be like this waiting for kits Etc there just seems to be massive massive delays, sorry to hear you have no sign of yours yet :( also we (collectively) are so used to everything be available instantly these days a lot of us don’t seem to have patience. All credit goes to Richard for this one , what a gent. I think when you get one it will luck wicked on the potato raceway ;) can’t wait to see what you do with yours take care Addam

Currently planning on keeping this one, I do really like it, but as things often are I can’t always afford to keep cars, if im wanting to make new content Etc. I would like to keep this one though

I really like the BBX, it's a fantastic looking buggy, and by all accounts top quality and a joy to build. The biggest issues are lack of availability (typical Tamiya) and the price, it's a wee bit too expensive for my liking. Great video as always, looking forward to the next one!!
It’s about £320 price wise but I guess that Tamiya put a lot into this one money wise. If you took off the cvjs, alloy shocks , bearings then maybe it would be a kit around £260? They have done a cracking job with it though it’s a cracking thing. Cheers for watching fella :)
"The biggest issues are lack of availability (typical Tamiya)" - I think thats only an US issue, because Tamiya isnt as popular in the US and they therefore export less kits to there. Here in Europe, especially Germany, we always have Tamiyas readily avaible.
And yeah, Tamiya always was a bit pricey, but for that you get some of the best plastic on the market, not compareable to the chinese made stuff you see so much these days.
Super cool 😊 how ever, not too keen on the design, maybe if it had a bit more width to it 🤔 I went for the sand viper instead with a few hop ups. Never stop doing your awesome vids Andy 😊
It does have quite a slim front end , I like it personally but it will be interesting to see what else they bring out on this chassis, cheers Jonas :)

I believe this will probably be thevbest selling Tamiya kit for this year, if they can follow with their production. I for myself have not one yet, but will get one for sure. Just have enough other open projects for now.
I think you could be right if Tamiya could fill the demand for it. It’s a very cool kit, looks and drives great and certainly customisable :) cheers for watching, take care
Its strange these are so hyped up when they only ship enough for youtubers to get them. Even the ones in shops are held for youtubers first. So much hype and no one can buy them. IDK, im not in the marketing or supply departments at tamiya or other rc companies. I just think its strange. At least some regular youtubers are able to get them that have time to show us running videos now. It was even more frustrating when just the big few that got specifically send these things had them and then no one drove them around. Just an unboxing then a note that we cant buy them.
Looks pretty sweet. And a lot nicer than most other tamiya rc iv seen. I hope this is the path forward for them. Modern RC but done in the same spirit as their past rc with interesting designs, suspension, layouts.
I love if they did a modern version of the wildone with hex hardware and made to take brushess power but the same suspension and looks of the wildone.

Hi there it’s something you would have customise , probably like a roof scoop at the rear of the roof or I place of where I’ve got the spare tyre

Yeah I didn’t want to hang around , got it all sorted last night. It does run really well very nice to drive and pretty much slop free. I’ve adjusted the slipper a bit as well now. Glad the new car is sorted out , if you do what you said you were gonna do with it it will be ace. Like a proper one should be ;) enjoy the weekend matey and thanks so much again ! :)
Maybe the steering is too slow....which servo have you built in?
Yeah it does need a bit of a quicker servo but I just had a spare low profile servo so in it went nothing mega expensive
Tomly put a 7700kv in it without a slipper clutch in it that gearboxes.
He did , I think i is d of preferred a slipper in if I was putting that power in, seems ok though
You should tighten it before it might does damage.
It wasn’t set to loose it just needed adjusting that’s all

I just can’t put my finger on it, as nice as it looks, there is just something I can’t warm to. Maybe a future release on this chassis will hit the mark.

Cheers , I can appreciate it’s not for everybody , it will be interesting to see what other body styles come out on this chassis. The platform itself is great , I like the whole buggy . I’m looking to customise it over a period of time
