Have started on our stripdown, am going out tte weekend to try and buy some imperial spanners , which type would you recommend there are several different types w.w. a. f. to name a few. Do you know as if the different types of screws can be bought as I have broken a few already. Thanks Kevin.
I was able to tackle everything with a set of metric and imperial spanners. I wasn't going out buying a set of whitworth spanners that'd never be used again.
You should get around five to six thousand ohms reading on the secondary of the coil measured between the HT output and earth of the coil. Set your ohmmeter to the x100 scale. If it's open circuit the the coil is dud unfortunately. A cheap fix is to use an old lawnmower coil, you may have to make up a new core from strips of sheet metal but it can be done. Good luck.

Very nice
So, what’s the story with that coil? Keeping us hanging here 🙂
Toast unfortunately. I'll get another video up but I injured my hand so it'll be a few days.
Good man, take your time. Good series btw 👍

Thanks for the info. I do think the coil is dead but I'm going to bring it into work tomorrow and have one of our avionics techs confirm that.
@@Endfloat i was hoping we would see the old Lister burst into life! Oh well, maybe in part 3, no pressure.
I'll stay at it, don't worry!
