"What should I do with my life?" "Maybe start living it?" Listen, Richard can be incompetent and incredibly stupid usually, but it is easy to see why Nicole loves him for who he is. He's so unconditionally loving, and in the end, he's the best man for her and their kids in my opinion.
Fun fact: Granny jojo called anais by her birth name instead of the rename she had. If you don’t understand go to the first episode she appeared in and you’ll see that she pronounced anais how it was first spelt, before it got renamed.
And here we are, this is by far my favorite episode in the entire show. I agree that since emotional episodes are not a common thing in Gumball, when they decide to deliver one it hits hard. It is also one of the few episodes that show why Richard is such a good dad and husband (and it also shows how despite of all the chaos this family goes through they're still a very loving and good family ^u^)
I think what makes this one of my favorites is the touch of realism to Nicole and Richards relationship, you could totally see a relationship. Plus can we talk about the cute way Richard cared for gumball after Nicole just gave birth, a little ridiculous but very sweet gesture
Richard asking Nicole "why" to everything she said really isn't that annoying, when you think about it. Why was she so obsessed with being the best in the first place? Why was she so focused on the approval of parents who couldn't care less about her REAL needs? Why did she need to push herself so hard? These are all VERY important questions that Nicole (and ourselves) should NEVER stop asking
What I like about this episode is how mature it is. It doesn't sugarcoat anything. Like yeah, Richard may be a bit dumb and not be the greatest hsband, but he's a good husband. Not a weirdo, not a creep, not the one who'd lead her to death or prison. And the montage it showed? Like yeah life sucks. Her parenrs are a-holes, they were renting a small apartment in an awful place eating nothing but instant noodles, but she ended up in a happy family and this is something not many people have and something that should be valued.
Honestly my mom always gets mad over having to do things and me talking back but I tell her she shouldn’t have had a family if she didn’t want to accept all of that so this episode really speaks to me and makes me think that she looks back on her choices too
It's one of my favorite episodes. I hope you now understand what Nicole sees in Richard. If she hadn't met him she would either have died or been driven insane.
This episode is basically turn left from Doctor Who 😂 so i can tell that since u mentioned that episode before being like the 50th of Doctor Who theres proberly a lot of gumball episodes that might end up being like Doctor who
This ep really is wholesome tho cuz it shows that nicole is meant to end up with richard in the end Since both of them are the right choices cuz if she went other path she either go insane or being a world leader lol
Fun Fact: This is the highest rated episode of the series
It deserves it imo
@@rocky.rocks1445 it just a straight up good episode
For good reason

What is the rate
"What should I do with my life?"

Not only this is a great origin episode, this is a great example of the other futures Nicole could’ve had if she never met Richard.
The sad part is her parents didn't show up to the wedding (it'll make sense why in a later episode)
I love that the ending cements that Richards isn't just the lesser of all the evils, him being in her life actually made it better.

Gumball really is one of the best cartoons ever made, it doesnt have the serialized appeal but when it does emotional moments it really nails it.

one of the best episodes, the other being the origins
the word i think you're looking for is "bittersweet"

And it's also just a really funny and efective way to deconstruct Nicole's ideas and motivations without making it too long.

Don't worry. Harold went to the same high school as Richard at the same time, so he's no more than a year or two older than her.

I always used to think that Nicole was too good for Richard, and that may be true but spiritually and mentally he’s great for her.
I remember crying at the end of this episode😭 this episode was too wholesome
Remember the first episode Granny Jojo appeared in? She kept calling Anais "Anias".
Yeah so did Gumball and Darwin a few times in the first season
Hey idk if you'll see this, but this video is in your Steven Universe playlist for some reason. Noticed while binging lol
8:24 he fell on a pregnant woman lol.
I'm sure if Nicole got shot, the bullet would ricochet
@@DoctorNoon2717 she is a super mom after all.
So that's why gumball is dumb af
And did not cause her to miscarry Gumball because she is essentially indestructible.
@@truthseeker9249 but probably gave him a brain damage lol.
literally the best episode in gumball
This was added to the Steven Universe playlist by mistake, just so you know!
Yea I was checking if anyone knew about it 👍
This is the best episode of Gumball and nobody can change my mind
I’ve never had any complaints for this episode and I never will
Just as a heads-up, this is on the Steven universe playlist (between episode 45 and 46 of season 1)
It's one of my favorite episodes. I hope you now understand what Nicole sees in Richard. If she hadn't met him she would either have died or been driven insane.
PEAK EPISODE
In my opinion this is hands down the best episode of the show
Great reaction!
This is one of my favorite episodes!
This episode is in your Steven Universe playlist my boy 🗿🤙

1:25 If Nicole was a boy, and his report card said M for male, it could be a good thing because it’s 7 more than F for female

We've seen origins of all the Watterson family, Gumball and Darwin: The Origins, Nicole and Richard: The Choices, Anais: The Rival.
*happy sigh* I LOVE this episode. 💙💙💙
Aaaaad this is why I love Richard and is why Nicole is still with him.
one of favorite episodes from this season
Why is this in the steven universe playlist???
True XD
Wait, this isn't Steven Universe 😂
I don't know why this video is in the steven universe playlist
The Choices comes a bit later in the season but I’m so glad you got to one of the best cartoon episodes ever early!
wait what? Is that a regional thing cause it says it is season 5 episode 5…?
@@imjustnooby2361 it’s technically episode 6 but Carter forgot to upload The Stories
@@stanleychang1fan826it's because on Hulu "the stories" is listed as a S4 episode when it isn't. It's weird
AHA I WAS WAITING FOR THIS
Funny how both episodes you uploaded today had to do with the origins of a main character's parents
Fun fact: Nicole’s parents are the only characters I hate. Bad parents suck.
that is not steven universe
why is this in your steven universe playlist?
I think episode something prize or something like that
❤❤❤
