I legitimately love this episode so much. Steven deserves to have someone ask him about how he feels with how much he has to solve other people’s problems. I also love him and Amethyst’s sibling dynamic, they’re my favorite in the show. (The background music in this show is sooo good. The music in this ep was a perfect blend of Steven’s and Amythests themes. Especially this little part 2:45 )

Rebecca Sugar had been fighting for Ruby and Sapphire to get married since SEASON 2. I forget what interview it was, but they said it was initially planned to just be a cute one-off episode titled "If You Love Yourself So Much", but there was no way CN was letting that in back before same sex marriage was fully legalized in the US. in the end they gave the ultimatum, either do the wedding and lose international funding and thus lose your final season, or leave out the wedding and get your last season. Rebecca chose the wedding

Most of the directors for early Westerns grew up with a love of old Samurai movies from the 40's and 50's, so check of few of them out. Rashomon is a personal fave(they can be a bit more violent and sexual than a typical western, so discretion around children is recommended lol)

You are witnessing and are about to witness cartoon HISTORY, this is one of the most influential things in cartoon particularly LGBT cartoon characters.

Definitely one of my fav episodes just from how wholesome and fun it is. Also, this episode it's called 'the question' because of the episode where we first learn how garnet came to be, 'the answer'.

You know what’s the only thing not wholesome about this? That Cartoon Network cut the show short because of this marriage decision, and the end part kinda suffered cause of this forced rushing

Honestly now that I think about it, I really don't like the fact that Greg's reaction about Rose is so calm, man it just feels so convenient, and don't get me wrong I love him but I feel like Greg is a very underdeveloped character

I adore the music in this show and this episode has my favorite piece by far, the music when they're escaping and when Aang is getting chased by the archers is just so hype. I feel like I should have a better word but I don't, it's just really fucking good
