This is a priceless memory. I was a member of the Jr. Senior choir when we did this show. It was absolutely amazing everyone of the half dozen or more shows we did. Miss that part of my life. And the voice i had.

Kurt Kaiser was directing a choir at Baylor university when he and Ralph C. wrote "Tell It". I was a member of that choir. He invited several of us over to his house one evening. He had written some new songs for a youth musical and wanted to hear how they sounded with a choir. That evening we were the first people to sing "Master Designer", "Pass it on", "Consider now the Lilly", and more. Our choir (The BRH Choir) recorded the album. Getting to work with Kurt and Ralph was one of the greatest thrills of my life. The musical was also picked up by NBC and made into a nationally televised video. Again, our choir was chosen to perform for the production. We spent 10 days in NYC, taping at the Ed Sullivan theatre. What memories!

I remember singing this musical in 1971 with our church youth choir. I have always loved this music.
Edited to add: This is first time anything like this had been performed at our church. I think it was a very moving experience for everyone. There was a young drummer who performed along with the choir. So in addition to singing at our church, we also performed at his church. Later on we recorded an album of “Tell It Like It Is” at the Arthur Smith Studios.

I saw y’all when I was 13 years old. Went with our baptist church from Corpus Christi, Texas. I don’t understand how I remembered most of these songs now that I am 67 years old. I now listen to this album at least once a day. Love it and thank you for the beautiful music with so much meaning. ❤

I saw this as a child probably the first year it came out. My dad was military and moved to Ethiopia 🇪🇹. My mom took the music to the school and the high school students did several performances of it in various places. I watched so many performances, I still remember all the words. I love that I found this!

I was in a production in spring 1970 put on by Baptist Student Union at Angelo State University in San Angelo Texas I had a speaking solo and said “God Is like a computer. Just feed him the facts. It’s easy to see since the stars haven’t fallen into the sea.” When we sang “Pass It On” we all had candles, one boy struck a match with his thumb and lit the first candle and we then all lit ours off of others. The boys had solos (singing/spoken) then walked down in the auditorium shaking hands and saying things like “God loves you.”

One more thing.... Our choir master was Mary Lauder. One lady you paid attention to or leave. She wanted to the best we could do messing around was after rehearsals. Miss her dearly. ❤❤❤

I performed this with a group in 1970. I've been looking for a score for several years to do it with a church youth group. Yet, I searched all kinds of websites looking for a score (preferably with piano and instrument parts) and cannot find one. Does anyone out there have a complete score that I can purchase?

Is Master Designer originally sung by Kim Carmichael, Ralph's daughter?

The solo on this recording of "Master Designer" is not by Kim/Carol Carmichael.
