Im still overwhelmed and shocked at how good Aurora's live performances. This cathedral settings and the organ/percussion with a choir backing was the perfect balance and sounds crisp and clear. As always her stage presence and emotional attatchment is incredible

Aurora is a singer, songwriter, producer and composer. So yes, she has that saying.
I think it's a pity that you didn't care about the lyrics this time. The topic is important.
The song is an anti suicide song (before I make the offering) and anti depression song (a war inside my mind).
If you're about to take your life, remember the people you've met in life that you're leaving behind. Remember that there were also good times. Those times have passed. And just as the good times have passed, so will the bad ones passed. Nothing is eternal. You just have to persevere, take one step at a time and sometimes it's a success to just get through the day. But at some point it will go up, then it will seem to you as if you see the light at the end of the tunnel. The first time in a long time and then you will be lucky that you are alive.
Perfect words, you describe it perfectly and how I feel. I go through depression and I know the darkness but I can see the light too and know that feeling to be lucky to be still alive. I love this song because of that meaning. I feel so deeply touched by her songs, like her songs are the Music for „the movie of my life“. Like she does the perfect songs for my life and my feelings. Hard to explain, but she express with her music what I feel and I‘m so glad that I can hear her music because it always cheers me up because I‘m not alone. ☺️

I mean, to be fair I've listened to this song a a few times in playlists and didn't know that was was the initial inspiration of it. Her lyrical imagery has evolved a lot since she was 9 and she can communicate that sort of thing more apparently now. I think its fair to bring up without being critical of someone's initial reaction.
I thought it was about _almost dying_ or having surmounted something and moving on from that.

This song always reminds me that Aurora grew up witnessing her sister Viktoria battle mental illness (bipolar). It must have been very hard for her family not being able to help her.
Most of the production is down to Aurora, her manager says about 80 to 90%. So most of the instruments, arrangement, backing vocals, visuals etc. are her choice.
Also, on your comment about this being as good as a studio performance.... when the full concert video first appeared on the internet there were a lot of people accusing her of lip synching, and the band/backing singers of all miming to a backing track.

One of my favorites performances. it is always mind blowing that she was able to write such lyrics and songs (and not in native language) in a age of 9 years old. Incredible. And this song is a masterpiece + so emotional.
Also message of the song...
In my interpretation it is about depression so big it could end with suicide ("offering"). But then this someone feels/saw the light for a first time = found a reason to live and a light/hope in this whole darkness and changed mind. But fight still goes on as she sings on the end I am lucky to be alive with some sadness. But it is sad song with positive message. As even in a darker and most desperate time you can find a light you only need to survive these hard times and it will be better.
If you want a MV next I would suggest The River.

If you would like to see a live experience at a different venue I would suggest the HAIK concert. In this concert they have arranged a surprise for Aurora for the song "The Seed".
I would suggest doing the documentary along with the Haik concert, even if you don't react to it, though we'd watch that too, but it's quite a time commitment to do both, but they are best experienced together, as your missing a lot of backstory about the concert without it.
That concert was fantastic and especially the surprise during the Seed :-))

After watching his reactions I think she has grown on me more and more.
I used to think she was a bit weird and just a squeaker kid. Especially after watching her interviews.
She clearly has more depth than most artists.
Live at KEXP is my favorite one to watch. It, for me, shows off everyone in the group perfectly.
Aurora is super amazing, and her writing and composing is beyond anything. The venue is amazing, and so are the choir and musicians. I would also like to pay my respect to the people in NRK for this production. I think the sound and the pictures are world class, and that's not the first and only time. And for MVs, so many to choose from. I'd like to mention Winter Bird. It's so beautiful, and the song is another example of her incredible writing abilities. Love your reactions!!!

I'm a person of constant inner turmoil, always angry with myself and I don't fully understand how she does it, but listening to Aurora actually gives me peace and changes my mindset to “I'm good as I am“.

I`ve seen many performences of her, your reactions too, of course.
I was struggling over weeks, what she is doing there on stage, why her ayes are looking so bored at highest feelings everytime, what is she doing with her whole body?
And now, at min. 6-7, I think it was an enlightenment. She is able to get herself in trance, without drugs just with thoughts and accepting everything around!

Thank for a great Aurora reaction. I will recommend two songs. You mentioned her vocals are always perfect, I agree. I suggest Exist For Love mv, Aurora chose to use the demo vocals recorded while she was on tour because they are not perfect and she felt it added to the song. I also recommend Under The Water (Live) - #VevoHalloween 2016 as Halloween is coming up and it shows another side of Aurora. These two songs will make you smile instead of cry, isn't that nice and strange for two Aurora songs? And it will also remind you to never ever put Aurora in a (genre) corner.

Oh YES, AURoRA deffo has a say in the production, and she also title herself as a percussionist... being borderline savant... she has to. Think her manager has gotten a couple of grey hairs, since she's very adamant on what she like and don't, and what she wants to bring us on her albums.

She startet playing piano at very early age, nobody in her family knew what she was actually doing. And she began writing music without lyrics at 6 years old, and with lyrics from 9. So I guess “Lucky” is one of the first songs she wrote.
She’s the best songwriter I know, because she doesn’t write what almost everyone else writes about , she doesn’t write about love, almost never.
She said herself that she wrote her first love song with “Exist for love”, a really beautiful love song ❤️

She wrote it for the funeral of a good schoolfriend that died on an car accident. And she sang it only on the funeral. So my informations. She wasn't going to release this. The mother of the girl uploaded it to YT to share it. I think she was 18. It's very very emotional.

Take your pick... they will both make you smile in their uniqueness and pleasure in performance!

I have truly enjoyed watching you fall in love with Aurora. There are few things in this world that are more wholesome. I would love to see you react to some of her more visceral music like the videos for “Animal” and “Apple Tree”. It really helps you understand the passion she has for justice and for nature on an even deeper level. She is like a wild forest spirit with a direct line to the gods of nature.

It's hard to believe that someone could have written such deep and meaninful lyrics at such a young age.
One night last year I was trying to do a very difficult jigsaw, I was listening to Aurora on my headphones as I do....... a couple of teardrops rolled down my cheek and on to my table, I had not realised that i'd been listening to the lyrics of the song as much as I was, I stopped what I was doing and just stared at the Tv.
The song is so sad, yet it is a great piece of work.

I have a few other recommendations from Aurora if you're looking for more. Her Haik Concert was phenomenal, but its a long watch, since you get exposition on who she is, and how she thinks. Lots of her talking, and feeling before the actual concert, so you really get a sense for her existence. It's magical to watch. If you're looking for single songs though, I recommend The River, Exist for Love, Queendom, It happened Quiet, All is soft Inside, and Cure for me.

If we are talking about mixing it up - Live, music video and Aurora, I would take you
back to one of her first. It is a great example of her technical expertise and it is
the original Murder Song (5 4 3 2 1). It is all done in glorious black & white,
and the video begins with her eyes looking out at us. Using a stationary
shot of her eyes only, the camera oh so very slowly begins to pan out
all the way to the song's conclusion with finally Aurora standing
alone on an empty stage. I highly recommend it . . . . . {-.-}

For the me song is opposite of sombre. Yes, the subject matter is very sombre, but the message of the song, to me at least is: No matter how dark it gets, no matter how hard it gets, keep enduring, because there is light at the end of the tunnel and you will find it.
As for song suggestions.
For one that is only a studio recording, but has no attached music video, i really like "In Boxes". It is a song that will show some of her darker humour and is completely opposite of what you have heard so far on subject matter.
To make sure its not blocked in any countries, use the TH-cam video that has the most views (an unofficial account), there seems to be a rights dispute over the song between her labels, because the official video is not available here in Norway for example, nor on Spotify.
For one with a video, though i'm not in particularly fond of the video, nor is the song one of my favourites. I still quite enjoy it because the whole thing feels very intentional, almost sarcastic or satirical as a statement of the music industry as a whole, because the Lyrics of the song does not at all match neither the music video or presentation of the song.
When she does the song live, the presentation is completely different.
