- 2023 Kia Seltos facelift Variants Explained - In this video, we bring you a quick comparison between the new Seltos variants to find out the best value for money variant for buyers. The new Kia Seltos is available in 3 trim levels - Tech Line (HT Line), GT Line and X-Line - with petrol and diesel engine options. The Seltos facelift prices start at Rs 10.89 lakh for the entry-level HTE 1.5 MT variant, which goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh for the top-spec X-Line AT.It is available in 3 engine options - a 115bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 116bhp, 1.5L Turbo-Diesel and a 1.5L Turbo Petrol. Transmission choices include a 6-speed MT, a CVT, a 7-speed DCT, a 6-speed iMT and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.

I think that KIA had this compulsion of keeping the ex showroom price below 20 lacs and that made the X line a VFM. Booked the X line Diesel.
Hello i confused , please tell which variant is better in petrol and turbo diesel engine but i will not use regularly , use in 10 to 15 days but i like turbo engine and imt transmission. turbo petrol costly compare to turbo disel engine
How do you feel about the reliability of Turbo petrol direct injection engines with DCT. Both of them have been marred with breakdowns in the past. I m looking at 6-8 years of ownership.
I test drove the GTX+ Petrol yesterday and the engine feels good, it does take a second for the turbo to kick in but when it does, the car goes fast. Plus the gear shifts are smooth. Felt really reliable to me.
Excellent video with proper explanation but does GTX+ Diesel Auto TC has same features as DCT. Also does X-line ex-shroom price include PPF coating so need clarity on what you said that just 20K more for X-line in compare to GTX+ on which approx 1.5L is extra cost of PPF
Kia ne x line ko ya phir gtx ko dono mein se 1 ko launch karna chaiyen tha ya phir gtx mein hee matt finish ka colour option de dena chaiyen tha.. itne kam pricd diffrence mein koi sense nahin banta x line ko launch karne ka ... other option is gt line variant ka price kam rakhkar x line and gt line ka diffrence around 60-75k rakhna chaiyen tha

In fact every car should come with compulsory safety features and essential features only. After that we should have an option to choose. Maybe i dont want your air purifier and HUD and sunroof. Let me save some money and get auto wipers and better sound system instead. Every company is here to just exploit. Cars are overpriced, loaded with unnecessary features and lose value very fast. Ought to be more value for my money

According to me htk is a good variant for around 15 to 17 lakhs onroad for petrol and diesel, just add alloys and the car is ready.
I miss the cruise control.. Else this is best value

I just looked at the transmission. I wanted the IVT. But Kia should have given more features bcos thats the only variant available. IVT is best for indian roads, if u r looking for automatic.

i think there's a small mistake ...he was showcasing a HTX+ as a HTX variant...there are 9 differences in between them to be specific

Vikash ji, great review, your views are cristal clear.Need some suggestions, I am confused between Creta Petrol and Scorpio N petrol. If creta petrol is giving 11-12 km per litre in city traffic and Scorpio N petrol 9-10 in city traffic. Then Scorpio N would be more wose decision. Thanks in anticipation.
Don’t go for creta petrol
If you are residing in any of the metros it’s average is not more than 8 kmpl . For a petrol option considering average consider the vitara or hyryder

I eagerly waited for this car but when they cutted out manual with diesel and turbo i was like wtffff whyyyy we are not americans we want that foot and handwork and power.
One thing i am disappointed that they are offering only one automatic variant in NA 1.5 engine that too at top model HTX IVT which as you mentioned priced at 16.59 lakhs, this engine option is going to be the best seller and they are offering it with only one automatic variant in 2023. 😑
There is a DCT in HTX+ with Turbo Petrol. When you have turbo why go for NA
@@ashutosht10 some people are mileage conscious, which that turbo engine can't provide.
@@Car_Factory_007 mileage conscious people can go for diesel and if your running is less, at 18-19 lakhs, you shouldnt care about mileage but performance, above 17lkh NA engine looks weak

@@varunguleria5834 sir GTX+ has turbo petrol and diesel options. Diesel has 113bhp and petrol has 158bhp so diesel has enough power but petrol has more than enough. Also, in efficiency diesel AT will return around 12-13 in city and 18 on highway whereas turbo petrol will return around 9-10 in traffic and 16 on highways. So choose accordingly

The HUD was available in the GT Line earlier. Dont understand why they discontinued it in this facelift. Even worse, why did they discontinue the red element in the GT Line? That was one of the best design features of the Seltos. And the new key fob is horrible.
And still no Wireless android auto & apple carplay in Gtx & X-line
Without the red elements it is hard to recognised the GT line from tech line.
@@dutta5225 it has a gt line written on the back of the car aswell as the steering wheel, not that hard to tell apart

Why do I not need a ppf treatment with the matte finish KIA?
No you don’t need that. And that’s exactly what has been conveyed here that the price different between GT line and X line is so negligible that it doesn’t make any sense for anyone ho buy the GT line. In fact the cost of matte PPF is more than the price difference between the two. Hope it clarifies the confusion.
Value for money is GTX Line bcoz it has many colour options which is missing in HTX Top verient
but interior is same for all, thats what dissapoints

Kia itself is least interested. They want to keep the safety ratings under the hood. Pls assume its still 3 star like previous version.

Though its a great car. But I somehow feel its overpriced compared to other options available in the market. I am thinking of going with XUV700 or Harrier instead as they offer better safety rating and have larger engine power.
nah, seltos better in all aspects except of build quality, which seems to have been changed. Lets just wait for NCAP rating of new seltos
