  • Here's a quick review of a 2008 Volkswagen Passat Vr6 4motion sedan. This review covers everything that applies to the B6 generation Passat, excluding the powertrain. This particular model has a 280 horsepower/265 lb/ft torque 6-cylinder engine arranged with a 10.6 degree ange between the cylinders. It is smooth and powerful, with full torque available at 2,750 rpm. In fact, the horsepower is probably underrated, since the engine hauls this 3,700 lb car to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. The transmission is not the smoothest in the business, but the manual shift mode is quick responding and works well. Overall, this car feels and looks like a luxury sedan and drivers will love the way it blends practicality and sporty driving dynamics. A lot of compliments from family and friends is a plus as well. Feel free to leave comments in the section below and I hope you enjoy the video.

    Do you still have the car? Looking at a rare 08 4motion model for sale with only 34k miles. Black on Black. Any suggestions? Or major things to look out for ?

    Would this be a good first car?

      Whispering Sky's Yeah definitely! Save up some money for repairs in case anything goes wrong though. Passat VR6 4motion sedans are pretty reliable, but if anything does go wrong, it can be pretty expensive to fix. Oil changes are usually $80-90 for it as well.

      This one doesn't have the Dynaudio system, but the sound is still very good, especially the bass. The seats are also some of the best I've experienced in a car

      +Born to Drive thanks for the quick reply! I'm wanting to buy one next year.. can find several under 15k fully loaded and have more to offer than some luxury brands, IMO

      +InFiNiTe2013 I totally agree. I've driven some BMWs and Mercedes and this Passat VR6 is definitely a luxury car without the badge. And it's been incredibly reliable as well. This one now has 110,000 miles

      +Born to Drive have you had any major issues?

    • @BornToDriveOfficial
      @BornToDriveOfficial  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +InFiNiTe2013 None! A set of brake pads, two headlights, side mirror glass, a parking light and a gas door release problem in the last 70,000 miles. It still does 5.6 seconds from 0-60 mph and averages 28 mpg highway

      @@matthermsdorf5849 I think the person you replied to was being sarcastic. Volkswagen owns Audi.
