I stopped going to church more than 10yrs ago. I pray to God by myself and God always answers my prayers. God can listen your prayers from anywhere . Si lazima uende kanisani to make conmen pastors rich.

I agree the church is not a building or a denomination. According to the Bible, the church is the body of Christ-all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation (John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 12:13).
But Local churches are gatherings of people who claim the name of Christ. Members of a local church. The local church is where believers can fully apply the “body” principles of 1 Corinthians chapter 12-encouraging, teaching, and building one another up in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And we are commanded not to forsake the gathering. Hebrews 10:24-25 "And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as [is] the manner of some, but exhorting [one another,] and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
So true gatherings of the Lord are not useless brother. The truth is to neglect a local gathering is disobedience to God's word.
Again I don't agree with the dramas and the theatrics of some of the so called churches and I am not surprised, Jesus spoke of the same in Matt 24:24 "For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. "So if anyone tells you, `There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, `Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it."
Our work is to not believe in them but emerge ourselves in the truth and what should we do about this false teachers, pray for them that God my enlighten them and tell them the truth in love remembering what Paul says that, Philippians 1:15-18
" It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. But what does it matter? So after this we reminded by Paul that some preach out of goodwill the gospel, this are the biblical churches that are honouring Christ I don't think it's Godly to insult his true churches and true men of God that have remained faithful to God.
Ephesians 4:15-16 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
All in all this is the summary of all this, no matter what is happening around in the name of church and it not true church, it will not stand the test of time, the destination that come today that are not true will fade away. But the true church will not fade away.
Matthew 16:18
"And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
God's true church will stand the test of time but this other camouflage you see around of the true church will not stand.
Jesus is the Lord of the church, his church has never failed and it will never fail not in this age nor in the age to come. So when you correct the church remember not to correct the Lord of the church, because his church is perfect, he knows what's best for his church and he already talked about this " so called churches", in the scriptures.
I don't agree the church of Christ is not useless.
If some few individuals who have are ravenous wolves have invaded the church and built their own "so called churches" doesn't make the church of Christ useless.
