So the Amygdala is the part of the brain that stores and responds to traumatic memories. This MV is Yoongi telling his real life story, he shows the car accident he had that messed up his shoulder but he couldn't talk about it for fear of getting kicked out of BTS so he performed with pain for years till he got surgery in 2020, his mother's heart surgery and problems, his dad's liver cancer all mentioned in the lyrics are real events. The scar is metaphoric for the trauma he's been through, he's battled depression for years. So he's pleading with his Amygdala to save him, the room was also representing his Amygdala that he was stuck in but in the end you see he was still trapped.
Daechitwa and Haegeum are him fighting against different versions of himself and that's what connects everything.

Haegum is a traditional korean two-string instrument. It has another meaning - "lifting a ban" or allowing sth previously forbidden. Its very tradition vs new values based, but another interesting thing abt it the video is that he smoked. You dont see that in korean videos cause its forbidden to broascast lighting a cigarette on korean tv. So he effectively got his own video banned even though everyone watches it on yt HA (although I've heard someone say this contributes to an atmosphere of freedom in the mv) Its also interesting that the smoking becomes an issue, when there is explicit violence portrayed lol

We found out what a Haegum was after we watched the video! I think we watched AgustD on the late night show and he explained what it actually was! I was actually shocked on how violent the video actually was 🤣🤣 -Joy

His whole album D-Day is brilliant I have my copy I pre ordered it. It's a record breaking Album it's smashed Drakes previous record. As D-Day on it's release day sold over 1million copies. Only Rapper to achieve that status. I pre ordered my copy but they couldn't of course process my order until the release day then it took 9days to arrive from South Korea and arrive at my door here in the UK.
