Daechwita is traditional korean military music usually played when royalty were visiting or army were marching. Honestly there is so much cultural and historical references in the song and music video it would be too complex to explain here haha if your interested you can watch the daechwita explained video for more insight.
Daechwita is the traditional style of music that was played to let the commoners know that the King/Emperor was coming through... hence "Play it loud"... He described the concept of this MV as the mad king is his past self that was greedy and selfish while the peasant version of him is his present day self that is more humble and grateful. The end is him killing his past self.

There’s actually a ton of cultural references in the lyrics and the MV itself too. If you’re really into the song, there was a video analysis on Daechwita and the meaning behind the song + MV. It gives you a whole new perspective on his lyricism as an artist and as an overall person. Nice reaction, I hope you get more into BTS. Judging from the comments I’m assuming this is one of your first reactions to a member of BTS? They’re group is very diverse, you get a little bit if everything from member and more. Tbh for a long time I stopped watching Black reactors do reactions to BTS because a lot were close minded, ignorant, sexist, racist who would make disgusting comments about BTS. Like calling them girls or calling them Chinese even though they are Korean. The last straw for me was when these two black dudes said "BTS looks like they eat dogs and cats". But y'all restored my faith in humanity!☺️

Nonetheless guys, Agust D (Suga's solo stuff) is a part of BTS and their rap line is always on top of their game.
BTS doesn't really have a strict genre, the guys are very exploratory and just ridiculously multitalented that they can make any genre work to their advantage.

When I saw the scar, I remembered how much he loves scarface and reminds me abit of scar from lion king with mortal kombat vibes. The BLACK FIGURES behind SUGA presents the fandom: ARMY, he’s basically saying goodbye to his past because he’s ready to move on to a new chapter of his life. *Daechwita is a korean form of marching music that old armies used as they marched into battle or kingly procession; his old & current self fighting for domination over his present life. During his first mixtape he makes many references on how SUGA (stage name) kills Min Yoongi which is his true identity. Now, Agust D the raw savage side kills off the king and SUGA sits down from royalty; if i’m not mistaken, last emperor of the country. The concept/theme is a traditional dynasty where the long hair is indication of wealth and Agust D shown dressed in authentic kingly garments, It was also strongly frowned upon or forbidden for anyone with scars could never be royalty but with this track & music video breaks that stereotype by having Agust D shown with a large visible vertical scar on his eye which expresses even people with scars can be royal on top of showing how powerful his presence is which reminds me of kdrama Scarlet Heart: Ryeo 4th prince where he had a scar but became king despite of it but I also remember how much Suga loves Scarface. I definitely recommend checking out j-hope lollapalooza performance. He’s another member from BTS and it was his first time performing for a large audience without the rest of his members. I was there and it was insane 🔥💜

BTS multi talented group.Best in the world. 3 rappers 4 vocalists. Amazing dancers. All 7 are talented individuals but as a group, outstanding. They were not given the start that other kpop groups had , with the help of army they clawed their way from the bottom and were nobody's who became legends. Suga has gone through so much and used to write songs to sell and would get ripped off. He had no money and would have to chose between eating or getting the bus home. I admire him. He was knocked of his bike and had his shoulder smashed but still performed with BTS even though he was in incredible pain. His name Suga is taken from his favourite position in basketball Shooting Guard. Agust D is his name backwards the D stands for Degu his home town. One thing to point out you may think you hear the n word but it is not what you think it's actually Negga the Korean word for you. I hope you learn to love BTS as they are so talented and humble. Their messages of self love abx their kindness is amazing. I'm UK over 50's ARMY and I can't express enough how much I admire and respect them. Army are all ages there are army over 80, all races, nationalities, genders and BTS welcome all.
