I decided it was time to organize my manga bookshelf after getting a second shelf, and after watching Highland Manga's organizing bookshelf video, I was inspired to create my own! Hopefully, this can be a piece of calm and relaxation during these times, as well as a small sneak peek at my collection :)

I like seeing all these comments about how people barely even have 5 volumes of manga 😂 it reminds me of when I was 13 and didn’t have any and now I’m 21 and have 100+ mangas on my shelves ❤️ so don’t give up collecting!

when im double stacking, i usually put the series that im going to finish up first in the front and the rest in the back or the series that is already done in the back. here is another recommendation: the devil is a part timer (manga version): its a funny manga about a devil who works at mcdonalds (mgronalds in the manga).
oo that's a great idea!! I'll definitely start doing that with my collection! and I've watched the devil is a part timer anime, but I've never read the manga! I'll look into it :)

I would like to do the double stacking, but it seems inconvenient, what if you decide to reread a manga that is on the back of the shelf. The you have to reorganize the shelf just to grab you want to reread.

i recommend some Billy bookcases from IKEA with 2 extra shelves, perfect size for standard volumes, your gonna need the space LOL. space is a manga collectors WORST enemy. you can get white ones ;) stay safe out in that part of the world.

My Collection is usually placed in the order I bought those Series in (although if one Series relates to another I put them side by side) & sometimes when I get bored I do put everything into alphabetical order just for fun & then put everything back into the correct order after that 😆
I mostly go by spine height. It drives me nuts to see a shelf that's like updownupdownupdown etc XD I'm a bit OCD with that sort of thing. So spine height is first, try to keep same author together if spines allow, and then 3rdly try to put things that look nice together.
So I have my Death Note Black Editions next to my Fruits Basket Collectors Editions for instance XD Same height, and something about the black spines next to the pastel colours just looks super appealing to me haha.

Definitely a relaxing video. I have to double stack a lot of my manga so picking which series' to show off is always tough. I tend to group hardcovers together as well, also the struggle to fit a few volumes of a series into the last part of a shelf is relatable, on numerous occasions I've used 5 volume series to fill the shelf
wow this was such a relatable comment!! :) It's definitely tough to stick some series in the back, I feel so bad aha. But yeah, 4-5 volume series are the best for shelf-fillers :)
There like all 12 Sailor Moon Manga. But I'm still collecting them
actually there are 12 volumes of the original series and two ‘extras’ (other short-stories), also two sailor v volumes! as far as i know that's all abt sailor moon that exists- i mean in manga

This was a very relaxing and cool video to watch!!! I love how you are so indecisive like me lmao. If I did one of these it would be like 2 hours long because of all the moving around I would do 😂. haha I'm lucky since I don't have too much manga YET!! but yeah, it was hard to decide where to put everything, so I can only imagine people with 1000+ volumes doing this :,(( and I hope you're staying safe as well from the fires!! It's definitely hard not to worry and stress out with the growing fires so close to us

Bro this GOALS, I just started my collection
same i started collecting mangas in September
this makes me want to take all my books off their shelves and organise them even though they're organised to perfection. putting new books in or organising them is so fun and comforting; perhaps i should pursue becoming a librarian? i don't have a whole lot of manga but i hope to collect more until i have this big a collection. :)

First time I saw this I was rocking a cool couple volumes of manga, now I can say I love collecting and I have around 50 volumes of manga and have many plans for more series I want. Yes 50 isnt alot in comparison to mangatama, but I'm proud of myself and very happy with my collection

When I saw the kodocha set I was so happy- I never see other people who like that manga! since it’s not as well known and older I’m still struggling to finish my set. I have two volumes left! It’s taken me forever to get as far as I have haha
