My sister-in-law brought us to this durian farm which she frequents every year. Only accessible by 4X4, we parked at the designated pickup point and took a ride on a truck up the hill. A bumpy ride but it was worth it! Beautiful view, clean farm and of course, some of the best durians we have ever eaten. They also have papaya, passion fruit, nutmeg, rambutan and mangosteen. We enjoyed the cool hilltop air and fresh fruits and the children had a great time too!

Hi Bro, I've been watching your durian & makan videos. I will be travelling up to Penang shortly to indulge. Tried contacting Soon Huat without any success? You said we need to book our durians. Can you advise how do we go about doing that?

Hi bro, not sure if they have a new contact number now, this video is from last year. I found their Facebook page here: facebook.com/balikpulauduriansoonhuat/?locale=ms_MY
Maybe can try messaging them and see, I haven't been to SH this year. Last week we went to Lim Brothers ( g.co/kgs/FW2CMrF ) you can also try this place. Call the number +604-866 8551 and tell them when you are coming, how many people, any preference for species of durian. I would suggest at least 1 week advanced booking. Good luck and welcome to Penang!

Your kids will enjoy watching these videos when they grow up.....Do you spend a lot of money each year eating durians or is it just for the videos and do you normally travel far to eat them.

I think before the pandemic, the price of durians really went up like crazy, partly due to the export to China causing a shortage in Malaysia. But now China have started harvesting their own durians so there is a lot more leftover for local consumption. I usually travel around the island and mainland if I can get good durians, especially farms in Balik Pulau. I think we can easily spend around a thousand ringgit each season on the fruits!
