I hope you guys eventually do “40 Too Long” by ADC-it’s one of my favorite comedy albums, and yet NO ONE ever talks about it. The bit about j***ing off at McDonald’s (“Whatsa matter, ya don’t want the burgers?!”) is a classic.
This album actually pointed out how un-self aware I was: I bristled when he did the bit about the Indian after having listened to an hour of misogyny 😅
The hour/back stuff stems from the joke: I’ll call you ”back” in an hour. An hour goes by and then you yell ”Back!” Get it? Dice obviously takes it in an absurd/nonsense direction here, but that’s the origin of the joke
I'm a little late to this episode but good job. You guys should do one on Steven Brody Stevens, he had that confrotational Dice energy turned up to 11, and was hilarious.
I think of Dice as the greatest anti-comedian of all time. The reason why is bc all comedians are terrified of bombing and having their jokes met with silence but Dice actually gets delighted by silence, conflict, and awkwardness. I think that most comedians are insecure and need acceptance, but Dice truly doesn't need approval.
I would love to hear your take on Pimp Chronicles by Katt Williams. Everyone in the south loved that special. I just wonder if the New England boys liked it too
The best part of this is seeing other people react to it, I think. I got everyone at work doing it-imagine ten kids with Midwest accents in 1994 walking around saying ‘Don’t tell mom, or no more whores😅’
Sorry guys but the opening suspense and sotto voce delivery of the Mermaid Ave joke is and was hilarious and super pro. Also can you focus on the material instead of trying to be funny yourselves it turned me off 10 min in...
I swear that was the same woman who was hollering for rhymes earlier; I think she was a plant….but then again, he seemed a little befuddled by it. So 🤷♂️
Not one mention of Neil Hamburger who has entire albums of getting violently heckled by unappreciative audiences. I've listened to a few of these and you guys don't know shit about anything.
@@BlindMikeProject Well I'm still listening to all of them, I think this type of comment from me is stemming from I want to be doing something like a podcast or videos and just haven't done it yet.
I was confused when I watched Dice on that New Years Eve HBO special. I was a fan of Crime Story. So I knew him as an actor. Now he’s this big thing! Wtf? Anywho, he was just filthy. His imitations were cool but all those little ditties were idiotic. Never liked the Diceman ugh 🤮
Finally a podcast about comedy
But actually I’ve never heard the album so it was interesting 👍
The hour back, is something they’ll never GET.

Patton Oswald may have killed his wife. But he definitely got married a few weeks later

Hes actually a true Alt Comic even though he doesn't fit the current definition
Funny watching this early episode. You guys look like you are in the Dentist office waiting room the way this is set up.
Blind Mike is a damn good host. Truly I mean that.

Bit too much Dark Humor for my taste .... Pass !
Please do a Pt 2 episode
on Day laughter died part 2 .. its. Worse but funny bad .. and ends in a fight with heckler
They knew it was recorded because of the remark “We wanted music on this album”.

Blind mike is a baby still
Interesting note for this episode.
patton oswald killed his wife
Good stuff guys.
Back/get it you’re supposed to repeat it/answer with him or whatever. He did a bit like that on another album and o&a
Thank you guys for this; I feel vindicated.

I think the “glass of milk” man would be a gem to have on a podcast… if the curmudgeon is still alive
I swear that was the same woman who was hollering for rhymes earlier; I think she was a plant….but then again, he seemed a little befuddled by it. So 🤷♂️
15 seconds of Dice followed by 10 minutes of these guys talking about it. No thanks.
1:03:46 do an episode on the guy!

Hour back, get it???
I still don't!
How about Mary Tyler Moore
She's on the list
???? Red Auerbach is not what Dice was going to with “hour back”
I thought the same thing😅

Sorry to hear! Thanks for checking them out!

Give it a shot!
