@@samuelbucher5189 I have played with CE once, and from what I have noticed, most of the mod's impact on the raiders was psycological, with some goig histeric and shooting averywhere or some other running for cover. Both are mechanics brought from the mod. About actual gun combat, there was no footage to have a say on it.
@@samuelbucher5189 You don't get killed by a raccoon or a tribesman with a knife if you have armor. More accurate weapons, etc. Pretty much a better alternative to vanilla, also keeps you on your toes.
Although the accuracy of the artilleries may be what you intended, if you want your barrage to be more accurate, using one of your pawn with high shooting skills as spotter will greatly increase the accuracy of the artillery barrage. (CE has a binocular that when equipped and "fired" at enemies, the target become marked and the artillery that attacks that target use the spotter's shooting skill to calculate barrage accuracy instead of the operator of the artillery. It also removes forced miss radius, so if your spotter has 20 in shooting, you have pinpoint accuracy no matter which pawn is currently operating the artilleries.)
I like your kitchen design. First thing i do in a playtgrough is build a large common room as a space for storage, bunk, kitchen, eating and entertainment. Then build specialist rooms up as i expand out and replace with stone blocks instead of timber. Followed by 4 bunkers around the settlement for each side then everything walled and sealed off with auto doors.
I've given that some thought. Misc Robots became the obvious choice when I didn't need a Colonist with SEVERAL upgrades in order to perform duties. Think of my robots as "conscripts". They are there to do a job but won't be remembered. Then dig deeper into the dynamics of the World... it's sad.
@@JoshMo1993 As i seen u only use cleaner and hauling robots. I just think that only for that reason biotech is like more vanilla friendly and the graphics looks better also for me, thats why i was wondering.
I once hit a tribal raid with mortar so hard the explosive pack they carried exploded taking most of the raid with it.
Always satisfying lol
Wait… why did I tribal have an explosive pack in the first place?
@@Gunnergamingyt2 as far as i know they have primitive explosives against white gods (mechanoids)
I did this with the Ragdoll mod, and the 155mm howitzer from Vanilla Expanded. Seeing them get flung across the map is never not gonna be funny.
What amazes me is how smooth it runs it’s almost as if you made mods stop being angry at each other
I think I may have just gotten lucky lol
Hell yeah, we strategize in similar ways. Love combat extended.
It's so satisfying. CE is amazing.
I never used CE. To me, this just looked like an elaborate mortar defense. How did CE play into this?

Does CAI replace the combat extended AI system?

We seem to share similar playstyles in that aspect. From humble beginnings to streamlined beauty.
Fueron totalmente arrasados por esos morteros de largo alcance de precisión ar25
You completley wrecked them lol.
That mortar fire was satisfying
At first I was like... that's a lot of mortars you're not using my man
perfect Victory!
thank you. always plan ahead.
Huh interesting. I usually use the trees as cover and watch my pawn get his eye blown out by a raiders MG before quitting.
Sandbags in front of embrasures have saved me a lot of heartache. Things still go wrong, just not as often.
@@JoshMo1993 yeah I always try to build them, just too late however.
@JoshMo1993 how does the sandbag help if the embrasure already covers more height?
If i was there i though i will hear AIRSTRIKE INCOMING and die to piece of corpse block
hahaha luckily that wasn't the case here!
What modern do you use for the mortar
What do you mean?
@@JoshMo1993 I think it refers to the mortar projectile
Think it's thermo with cluster bombs
Multiple mortars firing different ammo. 81mm HE and 81mm Incendiary. Vanilla ammo

@mikemoegaming the game only runs on a single cpu core, thats what normally causes lag. So many computations being bottlenecked.
HE and WP, shake and bake.
Wiley Pete gets it done.
how your colonists are so fast? is it bionics or mods?
Bionics with the "Quality Bionics" mod. Crafted bionics quality is determined by the stats of the pawn that crafted it.
let them come to you
There's no way this is without dev commands, right? Weirdest looking base I've ever seen.
Combat Extended changes the way I plan and build my bases.
