Let me share with you my how to make QUESO FRESCO with ONLY 2 ingredient!!!
Queso a fresco is a fresh, crumbly cheese that's perfect for adding a creamy texture and mild flavor to a variety of dishes. crumbled over tacos, salads, or any dish that could use a touch of creamy goodness. You can also use it as the main filling for enchiladas or tacos, So I hope you enjoy it just as much as we do! ❤️

Tip-Let it drain for about 1 hour, or until the curds reach your desired consistency. Wrap it in plastic wrap and Refrigerate!
Ingredients
1 gallon of milk
1/2 plus 2 tbsp white vinagre
Salt(optional ) I like to add 2 tsp

I use my left over whey from making yogurt to replace the liquid in all breads, added to soups. As far as smoothies you can freeze it into ice trays and add to all frozen smoothies and drinks or use some liquid in them. Buy 8 oz water and save the water replacing it that day with the whey and freezing it. Don't fill to the cap, leave a little expand area. This add alot of protein to everything!

That’s so funny that I’m seeing this video! I live in the middle of the woods and not everything from my culture is accessible. Your salsa recipes are amazing, we use them frequently. I can't wait to share this with my wife.
Fun Fact: You can use the "leftover" Whey to make Ricotta Cheese (Ricotta means recooked in Italian) reheat the Whey and add Vinegar...there's dozens of Videos on how to do it...be sure to search for "How to make Ricotta from Whey" otherwise you'll get something like Claudia's recipe and people that haven't made cheese before ( or DON'T speak Italian) don't know that the Whey will still make cheese.😁
I'm definitely looking into doing both of these. Ricotta is expensive and I'm the only one in my family that likes it. Ty

Ah, good stuff. But,we heat the milk to seethe,then coolit to 100F. One pint plain yogurt, mix well, cover and set on the back of the stove overnight. In 12 hours, it's sweet yogurt. 48 hours, it's like sour cream and used that way. Or, heat it slowly on the stove till bubbles for. the curd should break cleanly.

Make sure when you make any cheese, do NOT use ultra-pasteurized milk. "Milk that has been ultra-pasteurized does not work well in cheesemaking because the proteins have been destabilized. As a result, the calcium in the milk does not bond properly to make a good curd." Cultures for Health.
What type of milk would you recommend for best results?
This still turns out good.
Hard to even find milk that isn’t ultra pasteurized any more. It’s all got a shelf life of like 6 months (even refrigerated)

Is it the same process to do goat cheese with fresh goat milk??
So, it's basically a little dryer ricotta? Maybe with a bit more vinegar. Looks amazing. Just didnt know both of them go through basically the same process.

so QUESO FRESCO is the same as the indian Paneer. I mak that regularly exactly the same way based on indian youtube channel recipe. The wey is indeed great for making (Nan) bread and if you do not have vinegar or lime juice, yoghurt will also work.

If you have a garden or any potted plants, pour the whey over the soil. You eat the curds and the plants eat the whey.

I don't have a cheese mold, so I just hang the cheesecloth over the sink overnight. It makes a ball but works just fine.
