This has got to be the best video I have seen on this subject so far. I was really more interested in fusing without necessarily cutting, and this video covered that point. Looking forward to giving this a try sometime!
Hi Sandra, thanks for another EXCELLENT video! I often ship long skinny parts in poly tubes; now, instead of stapling them closed, I'll heat seal. Good one!
+Mark Wilson It's handy too if you want to share small amounts of craft items with friends, or for dividing up large packets of spices into smaller amounts to keep fresh (hubby likes making curries!)
Hi Sandra, I have one of those heat sealing "Food Saver" rigs. Occasionally I actually use it for food, but mainly for packing up items I don't want to spill, like hair dyes etc. prior to packing them up in the suitcase!
Picked one of these up in Lidl a few years ago and tried it out tonight. After burning my fingers (ouch!!) I found it great but need practice - your video def helped Sandra!! I'm altering an A4 pockets display book to 6x6 size for stencil storage. TFS, xx
this is what i have used for some time instead of a fuse tool. Works exactly the same i found. Only thing is i wish i could find a screw in stitch mark wheel ( like the perforated fuse one)
I got a set of these www.amazon.com/We-Memory-Keepers-660870-Decorative/dp/B00164THBM/ref=sr_1_2?s=arts-crafts&ie=UTF8&qid=1515330741&sr=1-2&keywords=fuse+tool they fit just fine

I use a coffee mug instead of the stand. Keeps the hot tip safely away from hands and surfaces but the handle is upright and ready to pick up easily.
Great idea! I do that with glue guns too, sometimes!

Very sensible! We did have a friend out to visit, who ended up shampooing her suitcase!

Glad it helped! Yes, you soon learn (as with glue guns) to keep fingers out of the way :)
