My pantry consists of a 25cm³ cardboard box with dedicated bags for each category. Everything is sorted by value inside each one of them, using small zip bags that came already labeled with my previous Mouser orders. Except for N4148, N3904, N3906 or very common resistor values I don't feel like I need to stock that much. Ordering by multiple of 10 is working nice for me. I get from Tayda almost all my connectors. Pots & jacks from Thonk.
Nice videos you have over here. Having had a lightbulb moment in work recently, realising that the courses im currently learning on transistor theory and electronics have a direct link to my hobby of building musical equipment i cant wait to get stuck into full DIY design and build projects for synthesis. Excited to get into the nitty gritty!
Oh my! After watching some of your videos I want to build some Eurorack modules. Do you have any estimate for the total price of all the components you have in your pantry? Guesstimate? Thanks! And happy new year!
I don't have the room or money for storage boxes like that so I use Abe's (from AI Synthesis) method of storage... Resistors are in small ziplock bags stacked in a box like baseball cards. and other stuff is the bag in bag method. One big bag for capacitors, and in there are smaller bags dividing up the various types and values. aisynthesis.com/how-to-store-diy-synth-parts/

I'm working on putting together a portable kit to breadboard and test synth circuits for Eurorack. Stay tuned for a video on the subject!
a magnificent trove of information
What a nice compliment! I'm so glad you got something out of it.

Nice Joy Of Cooking plug👍 Must have cookbook for sure.
Funny enough, this is a subject that I have been thinking about a lot lately.

I'm stingy, too .. on the other hand, buying full kits from the designer finances him or her to develop more modules. It's a balancing act
i want your life
Well, all is not roses and kittens. Thanks for saying that, though!
