It’s just that he had a protective hairstyle in his dreads and when he took them out they became curly dreads. It’s like if you have picked out hair and you braid it... when you take the braids out, your hair is going to be curly.

The thing to learn with locs; Don't EVER try to replicate somebodys elses look. Every single set of locs is different from one another. You will never TRULY have locs like anybody else so don't set yourself up for disappointment
He twist with gel before he was drafted but before that he did a lot of free form and 2 strand twist but really start twisting w gel and maintain/retwist it w 2 strand twist
His dreads i feel like are twisted without sections just randomly twisted which is why he has so many my next set i want like 86 dreads i had 87 last time but combined some but i want my dreads back

I wanna do the two strand twist method for my starter locs but I know you said keep the twist in for a week and then twist out.. but how long do I keep the twist out for and when I retwist for maintenance do I put the twisting gel again?
I personally got my dreads retwisted every month in a half at first but w the two strand I wait 2 months to get retwisted again because the twist out last for a while if u cover ur year at night
