Tried it recently. I noted how it was not as sweet as most bourbons, but still some cherry and fruitiness buried in there. Nice oak in the nose and the palate. Wonderful balance.
I normally pay $29.99 in Florida. Although I suspect it will be going up, since all quality bourbon is rising in price unreasonably. That said, I’m very much a single malt drinker and somehow I’ve bought 3 of these bottles. More than any other bourbon I’ve ever purchased. Sweet cigar. hint of banana in the finish. Great stuff.
I finally found a bottle of this, after keeping an eye out for it for 2 years now. It could never build up to the hype I've created in my mind in all that time, but for $32 it's a great value.
I have tried most all of them over the years as my family is from Bardstown Kentucky home of Jim Beam but I always seem to stick with my personnel favorite Woodford Reserve.
What's amazing about the Buffalo Trace whiskey line up is that if you water down the premium barrel proof or cask strength bottles from the distillery, the flavor feels to me like their more affordable whiskey collections that cost below 50 US dollars. This appears to be why even the less expensive bottles become hard to find, but I believe the company is trying to bring additional distillery lines up and running to increase production. Since, the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection is costing hundreds if not thousands of dollars for people trying to buy the bottles even though officially they should retail below 200 dollars. I think Eagle Rare and the Weller whiskeys were suppose to be affordable regular drinking bottles, but they have become increasingly too rare to find for anyone to have them as a daily drinker.

Yeah, it is not as sweet as most bourbons. Big, big, nose. It is close to Bullit. Real old school oak, fruit, carmel. Has none of the scotch like refinement of makers mark et al. Gritty. Tough. Southern. The nose is the punchiest of any bourbon. Really use a glass to get the nose.
Yum. One of My favorites in mixing a Kentucky Staircase: -Bomberger's Declaration Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whisky -Four Roses Private Selection at Barrel Strength (1000$ a bottle at secondary market) -Eagle Rare Bourbon 10 year 🦅 🥃
1-2 drops of water really opens up this bourbon, crème brûlée in a bottle! Love it!

Love it myself, its our family favorite...and a descent price too.... If you cant find Weller 12 yr...grab this..
I always thought you had a real barrel there…I see now it’s a table.
Used to be cheap, real cheap considering. Now it’s a bit more. A little hot, but full flavored.
If anyone mixed this with anything. They should be fined. Also. It’s 33.00 here in Ohio.
Bulleit Bourbon 10 YO is also a good one at a nice price.

No where near as good as Four Roses single barrel or small batch select. But pretty good.
