And all those stories that producers created a hostile environment playing jr high level games - like when she got in trouble because she and another actress of the show showed up on time at a magazine shoot while others were late and got first wardrobe selection, when apparently the show specifically told the magazine that she wasn't to have first choice, she wasn't to stand out at all to the crew gift fiasco.
Did you watch Gilmore Girls? There was an episode where Paris has every staff person on the newspaper wearing a numbered hat, and only referred to them by their numbers. Amy Sherman-Palladino says that the scene was based on Roseanne, who did the same thing to her writing staff (of which Amy was once a part of).
She’s a terrific actress and definitely an angel to put up with a witch like Roseanne for all those years and then come back for a reboot and never once in all those years threw shade at her.
I've ALWAYS ❤️'d Laurie Metcalfe. She's da bomb. I ❤️'d her on Roseanne. I TOTALLY remembered her from Desperately Seeking Susan too. Lol: "You're disgusting Gary, you're just like Daddy!" She NAILED her role in Desperately Seeking Susan TO THE WALL. BALLS TO THE WALL. She was SO GOOD. She ALMOST even upstaged Madonna. 😁 And OMG, NO ONE ELSE could play Sheldon's Mom on BBT. NO ONE. She's SO BELIEVEABLE in that role.

Teri, an ex-dancer professional, is a focused no nonsense person with high demands on herself and expectations from others - great traits for a successful performing artist; works for Barbra. PS: Laurie I am hoping to see you do Medea on Broadway, loved you in everything but especially in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. The Tonys that the pandemic robbed you and Joe Mantello of.
I loved her as Jackie on Rosanne, except after she had Andy, they made her in to an idiot. Like a female Gillian. Like her in the Conners but wish she would style her hair with bangs. She was so cute with her hair about the length it is now or a little longer with bangs. Love her.
