I especially love the strategy this involves. I have pandemic at home and will play it every once in a while and it's always this collaborative effort "Oh so in your turn you'll do xy because you have that ability, and I'll do this instead and then next round we can try and meet to share this card" etc.

@@rodentfairy I'm certain you're not alone. If you revisit 0:55 after watching a lot of the video the game should start to make more sense.
@@rodentfairy Na from experience anytime I do play the game with people that are new to this it takes a round to get into the dynamics and that's with people actively playing. I'm sure when you are just watching people play it can be even harder to grasp.

I’m unfamiliar with the game but I enjoyed it, it’s like learning a game as you play except not worrying about making mistakes because you’re not actually playing

Well, Ian was aware too.
They really did. Then Sarah was taking all the discussion time acting like the game is unwinnable, seemingly because they called her Typhoid Sarah. They could barely talk to each other without her injecting before someone could respond with something helpful. Like, it's a PvE game, so you don't have to play it with your guard up like it's a PvP game.
To be fair... Didn't Sarah literally read that card out loud around 4:12? That feels like it's on everyone a bit because it's cooperative and she really did read it at the very beginning.
Shayne intensely playing this as though it will solve the real-life pandemic is the energy we all need

This game is awesome. It is so balanced that saving the world usually comes down to just a couple of moves. I've lost more then won but it is a great game and should be played if you like board games.
I find that if I play just with one other person I tend to win more often then loose, even with the maximum epidemic cards. But with more players I start loosing a lot more but it also is more fun. Also I have yet to win a game where no medic is present, their ability tends to just be to valuable to go without.

Apparently, according to the map, Manila is somewhere in Malaysia(?) now, lol, they were talking about manila but i cant see any pins in The Philippines, so i zoomed and its in Malaysia, lol
Actually, there are small lines and dots on the board that connect the icons to the actual location of the city

I literally always lose pandemic for this same reason-being careful and avoiding outbreaks and all of a sudden there’s no cards left

Technically Pandemic is only a four player game, so I can't decide if playing with five people puts them at an advantage or disadvantage...It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see how it plays out for them

I like how Shayne is really good at strategy in this game, but then he is not good at most other game. I think the reason for that is that in other games he decided to be the funny crazy guy for our entertainment.

You know, I THOUGHT they'd have done this game sooner. Pandemic kinda went viral during the whole "We're in quarantine and everyone is playing tabletop games and starting their own Dungeons and Dragons podcast" era of 2020.
I don't understand this phenomenon. Why celebrate a real-life Lansbury with this game and binging the movies? Why relive the trauma for fun? Humans are messed up

Are sea levels rising part of the game? Yes actually people don’t realize how close climate change and global pandemics are related.
They should play Betrayal at the House on the Hill! Its exploration and unlocking rooms/items until the "Haunt" is rolled, then there's a whole book of possible scenarios with different ways to win. Sometimes a player becomes the traitor amd does all sorts of cool stuff
You can see at their faces that they’re still having fun at the beginning and being completely stressed out at the end.....
