Colibri= hummingbird in various languages, kolibri in Dutch. If you knew what it meant you had a hunch about the size.;) Had to laugh about closing your eyes and having a feel. Luckily they were good people, ey?:):) Muela is maybe the biggest knife company in spain, some series are still handmade. But like all the Spanish companies are stuck on mova steel, equivalent to 1.4116 krups, well below today's expectations. Only the Kodiak has 14c28n, afiak. I hope they wake up and realise they can sell a lot more if they upgrade their steel. Thats the only thing holding me back. I dont know if they are doing better in latin america, but spanish companies seem to neglect the world outside their borders. IF you can buy them at a domestic retailer they have just a few models. So Cuchillo means knife in Spanish and Deportivo means sports. So what you have there is a Sports Knife. Which may loosely translate to hunting knife. Perhaps.
Precisly, originaly desing for outdoors food prep and detailed skinning the Muela (family owned) colibrí (hummingbird) is intended to be a humting companion knife.
The muela colibri is one of the most reliable muela builds i had a custom scout carry sheath made and it nas been my EDC for 7 years
