- This book explores hate speech and blasphemy by analyzing the colonial laws that continue to shape twenty-first-century structures of feeling. It is a study of secularism as global political form, as refracted through a single law: Section 295A of the Indian Penal Code, which criminalizes outraging religious feelings.
Sirs, india bashing again,a favorite pastime of European and American (Indo+ as well )
academician and Pakistani think tanks providing a readymade audience !
I wonder how in the hell This discussion about Indian Laws with UK GUY in PAKISTAN….😂😂😂😂
He is lying and hiding facts. It was not Hindus who started it but Muslims. Rangeela Rasool was written in response to derogatory book against Godess Sita writren by Muslims
Is this guy for real? “Slandering the Religious” is what they are thinking about. And does this guy even know the difference between Religion and a Cult? Is there even an iota of spirituality in Islam? It is blasphemous for Pakistanis to be discussing this topic, not until they bring in some semblance of spirituality in their daily existence! Sufi Islam tried to do so but Pakistan does not consider them to be Islamic.
The author (whose only intention seems to be to promote his book) seems to be rambling more about laws in India.

British colonizers really jealous of India due to rising power of india 😂
Thinkfest Pakistan should be about Pakistan. Unfortunately its focus is how to criticize India. Most of the problems they talk about, I believe is and has been more acute in Pakistan. Now how will this help Pakistan?
A white guy talking in Pakistan about blasphemy and Indian Penal Code and what not in the 19th century and how the British was a more “rational government” !
Ohh the irony is unending!!😂

Pakistani should talk about their problems and how without Education Pakistan will prosper
indians should stop being obsessed with Pakistan and stop commenting on Pakistani stuff
@@ak8213-i1vstop discussing India 🙏🏻
@@anjan67 no one is discussing ‘india’. They are discussing a law (295) which was introduced in British india which was the entire subcontinent, very different from today’s ‘republic of india’. That reminds me, didn’t you change your name from india to bharat officially?? 🤔
@@ak8213-i1v
Try to learn the whole history when, why 295(A) brought in from other sources besides a white leftist, if you care and want to know truth, context and the whole reality
@@ak8213-i1v lol, brainwashing does turn people into idiots. Nobody in Kahore or Karachi pre-partition was called 'British Indian', they were just called Indian. It is a post partition term created to wipe your own identities😂.
Ragila rasool 😂😂😂😂
