I have found a solution with huawei p50 and other phones. When you still have a mobilephone, where WA works, go to the setup icon and select connect with other device (I don't know the right term in English, because I have German text). It will ask for the new mobilephone to connect and will clone What's App to this mobilephone, after you scan a code with your old phone.
