If you knew Rob's past youd know he's fine haha. That guy has been around the music scene with the biggest bands you'd be surprised. We almost wouldnt have Korn without Rob telling them to get off their asses haha. Maybe not but he was there with them from the beginning. Alice in chains, Ozzy, infectious groves, suicidal tendencies.

It reminded me of, John Entwistle always on the side with The Who... Always on the side, camera bearly showing him, but bringing the timeing together of the band, which I reckon most all of the great bands, the bass player is the most unrecognized but mulitalented, that brings the band full circle, can't forget John Paul Jones....

The radio station in Shreveport, La. would refuse to play “One” or any of the other songs off of “Justice “ until at least 9 p.m. so me and my friends would call the radio station at 9:01 p.m. EVERY NIGHT and request those songs (back when you could do that)!!!

But through most of the 80's stuff, it was all James and Lars. Kirk would come in and do the solo's and that's it. Then Kirk would have to learn all the rhythm parts from the album once the album was finished lol.
It really wasn't until Bob Rock and the black album that the band actually sat in the studio all together as a band and worked through the songs. (Reference documenetary 'A Year and a Half in the life of Metallica' th-cam.com/video/x4rbcpm31vc/w-d-xo.html).

Metalheads are the cutest. They’re all spikes, dark, brooding and black on the outside, but sensitive and intelligent in the middle with a penchant for classical music.

    • @adriznosdm8195

Jack O’nory That’s not true. Believe me. There are a thousand types of metalheads, a lot of good people, but a lot of bad people too. There are way more racists, nazis, killers, real satanists in the metal community than you imagine. Some metalheads burned churches down and killed innocent people in Norway. Saying that everybody listening to metal is super nice is as much a cliche as saying every metalhead is a crazy child killer, and it is stupid. How many people complain when Christians or politicians attack us and say we are servants to the devil ? How many people are trying to explain the masses that this is just provocation, that we don’t really like dead bodies ? The objective of provocation is to get a reaction from people, so let them be scared ! We can’t write songs about Satan or cuming blood if we don’t assume that image.
Anyway, you are probably a new metalhead, and you will soon realize that, like in every community, there are also bad people in the metal world. Wish you the best.

One might call out Metallica for becoming famous with covers, but you've got to remember and commend them for how they gave their little-known influences so much attention. Do you think as many people would know Diamond Head or Misfits if it weren't for Metallica giving them publicity?
