Fantastic and for me the very best .My parents took me to see him when I was seven years old on holiday in the 60s. Hadn't a clue at that age but I can say that I did see him live. By the time I was 10 or 11 I thought he was brilliant and never thought overwise my whole life. That man only had to walk onto a stage to get laughs , he was that good.
This is footage from an era before you were born, way before everything was commerciallized, way before 4,5,6,7,8,9K. When photography was with film, video was a new thing and people stayed home for certain TV shows without commercial brakes and commercial TV did not exist. Internet either. An era where people did know the meaning of the word "respect" and crimes were rare..... Before bulling was considered normal. Before everything was about making heaps of money in the shortest time. When youth was youth instead of drug and liquor addicted zombies. A time where hi society had the decency to not use a real virus on humans to make trillions of dollars and politicians had the guts to slam a fist on the table. Times when you could travel back in it, you would never return to todays well payed hell.
@@jpsholland I mean format wise, even back then this would have been broadcast in PAL50 interlaced. chances are it's just the result of a bad transfer or some problem with the VCR.
@@James_Bowie I've seen worse - I've seen better too, but I've certainly seen worse. But it is also suffering from being converted from PAL's 25 frames a second to youtube's 30 frames - maybe it was even converted from PAL to NTSC first, to be shown to a Canadian audience. But if you find it unwatchable, then don't.
@@leifvejby8023 This has nothing to do with the VHS-system. I have a lot of material (both my own and recorded from TV) on VHS cassettes that has much better quality than this.
You do realize the whole character he's portraying - his whole shtick - IS a children's bad birthday clown? I'm not saying he was the greatest but his timing is genius. You have to be very good in order to look bad.
Mr Tommy cooper. What a Legend. brilliant entertainer. he will be sadly missed God bless him 🙏💔🙏😪😪
For me, the funniest man that ever lived. Still hilarious.

The jerkiness is most likely from being converted from PAL's 25 frames a second to youtube's 30.

The flower pot
And the things about today call themselves comedians
The picture quality is disastrous here! Not viewable!
Then don't - you didn't watch a whole lot of vhs videos, did you?
