When they said “just bear, weird” it basically means they think Norma bears are weird because the animals in their universe are all hybrids, it’s a joke from the writers I noticed you guys didn’t catch that.
This is one of my top favorite episodes of this show. It is so deliciously creepy and dark. Long Feng calls Ba Sing Se a utopia but in reality it is a dystopia.
I loved how Iroh knew he and Zuko were being followed/watched especially since Iroh was a war general and was Heir to the throne when he asked where were spark rocks and had to borrow their neighbors. Also, this whole episode was giving 1984 vibes.
Iroh is legit the reason I got into tea during quarantine, now I'm able to recite brew times, water temp, flavor profiles, and flavor pairings for pretty much any tea, as well as their western vs eastern brewing styles
Jet attacking Zuko was a big mistake and if you watch closely, you can see Zuko just full on schooling him, balancing on the broken tables and what not as he defends himself from Jet.
And thus begins the Ba Sing Se arc of Avatar! That last scene is probably one of the most memorable from the show for the complete unease it instills in most viewers. It’s also beautifully crafted from an artistic view point-cinematically, musically, thematically, and color-wise. *_There is no war in Ba Sing Se._*
This. The Legend of Kora has genuinely some of the best fight scenes in 2D animation history (better than both the vast majority of cartoons AND anime).

Korra's great for your typical action movies, but ATLA put more effort into creativity and proper martial arts forms, therefore it's more realistic and creative at the same time. There are no two fights that look alike and I think that makes it more unique, even if Korra's are very well choreographed too.
And fun fact the Dai Li is also a reference of the real historical person of the same name. He was a Chinese spymaster during the Cold War back in the 70s.
