Great video! Will be visiting Hvar in May 2023. Happy you mentioned in the video the month you were there. Most videos don’t but I find it very helpful to get an idea of the crowds, temps, what to wear, swimming, etc. Awesome that you got to check ‘starker’ off your bucket list. ✅ About to watch your Korcula video next. I’ll be going there as well. Cheers!
Thanks Smucko1! May would be a perfect time to visit if you want to avoid the crowds and the water is warm enough to swim in (still a little on the cold side, but we able to swim there in late April). We were also in Korcula in early May and it was also quiet there at that time. By mid May, temperatures were around 23C, really pleasant without being too hot. It is still a little cool at night, so might be worth bringing a jacket. Have a great holiday!
Croatia is glorious! We ended up spending 2 months there and still have places that we want to visit. We were there at a good time too, before peak season in June.
Haha, well done guys!! We use “starkers” in the UK too 😂😂 I miss Croatia so much….have done Porec down to Tucepi but the islands are still on my bucket list. Fabulous video can’t wait for the rest of the series 😍
🤣🤣. Yes, technically it is a british word that us Aussies have appropriated! There is so much to explore in Croatia and we would have loved to have explored the coastline around Porec as well, however had trouble finding info on how to get there during the off season. Croatia definitely requires a return visit. Thanks for watching Helen!
Good for you two I’m sure it was liberating…free as a bird! 😂. Thank you for showing us another side of Croatia we did not get to experience! We had limited time an only explored Zagreb, while it was beautiful we so wanted to stay and see more! Great video guys! ~Cara 😊
😂😂, it certainly was liberating! Croatia was wonderful and it was very sad to leave. We ended up staying there for 2 months. Zagreb has quite a different feel to the rest of Croatia, you must go back there! Thanks for watching Cara. - Jon
Oh that is a hard question to answer, so much to choose from! We started in Zagreb and made our way along the coast via Split and the Croatian islands to Dubrovnik. We thought Dubrovnik was a great way to finish the Croatian experience as it was spectacular! If you want to spend more time by the coast then you could fly into Split and make your way to Dubrovnik (or vice versa). Check out our Korcula island video as well th-cam.com/video/aNdZzs3sNFQ/w-d-xo.html, it is a good halfway point between Split and Dubrovnik. Have a great trip!
Hi Sergio, thanks for watching! We were in Croatia for 2ish months, from March to early May. We were on Hvar at the end of April, it was a good time to visit!
One of the island's most popular destination is Hvar Town, which has lively beaches, modern restaurants, luxury guesthouses, and a lively nightlife scene. Its labyrinth of age-old cobbled and marble streets adds a distinctly Croatian aesthetic.
Great video guys! We remember seeing Hvar on our way to Korcula, so beautiful! Love that you guys spent some time there so we get to see it vicariously. Have to admit Jon, a little disappointed you weren't reppin the Budgy Smugglers on the beach! (but good on ya for going full buck or Starkers! Rest assured those folks on the boat got some good videos) 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Really amazing looking hikes and FOOOOOOD 🤙🤙
It was wonderful and we were very lucky that it was quiet when we were there, similar to Korcula. 🤣🤣 Don't you worry, the budgies will be back in action! Fun fact: I have the same budgies as a former Australian Prime minister, we are lifesavers at the same beach! Looking forward to comparing notes on our Korcula experience. A big thanks for the suggestion to go there!! - Jon
@@BucketListTravellers That's awesome! I tried to order some budgies last year but no international shipping...have to get a pair when we get back to Oz 🤣🤣 I can picture it now, just chillin on the beach in our budgies sipping a long black and talking about Korcula 🤙🤙

Amazing experience in Hvar, i've never heard of this place but apparently it's super popular and luxurious !
Hvar is so gorgeous and we were lucky that we were there before the peak summer season. You are right, it is super popular and can be very fancy!

We definitely need to go back to Croatia! We only spent a few days which obviously isn’t enough time. Great video!

I love the way you describe Hvar town! It was very enchanting and the seaside setting makes the town unforgettable sight! Thanks for watching.

Pakistan is very beautiful & cheap country for tourists & tourism with loving people, delicious foods, natural beauty & peace 🇵🇰
That sounds like our kind of country! Thanks for watching Qaif.
hate the sand.
I used to hate sand too and use it as an excuse not to go to the beach, what a mistake!
