Thanks especially for the tip at the end showing a single rose in a tiny flower vase tucked into the garland. Going to look for those Pink Floyd roses. Gorgeous!

A great way to keep flowers from wilting is to put a grape onto the stem. You can hide the grape in the greenery. This really works!

Thank you for this video! Beautifully explained! Could this garland be intertwined between hurricane vases or does it not bend well?

If I want to make a garland for a stair case with flowers do you suggest to use the twine with out floral foam? And how many days prior to the wedding is ideal to do all the floral arrangemens?

Have you ever used Nandina?? I think it looks a little similar. I have a ton of Nandina in my yard and I’m wondering if I could use that for some of the greens in my daughters wedding. I’m doing the flowers myself in a budget !! I’d love to see some suggestions for things we can find in our yards for filler !!!😀😀😀😀. Thank k you for your wonderful videos!!!

What’s another green you would add with thus. I want to have two types but unsure what looks good. I want a whimsical look. Thank you

This was very useful. Did you do the arch piece tutorial? I'd love to learn that.

thanks for sharing! this looks totally doable. How long would you say the Italian Ruscus lasts, out of water, in an air conditioned room?

If you were to make the garland only using ruscus (I mean the ones you tie because I am thinking about doing this for the walkway), do you think it would survive in a cold dark place for around 20 hours without water without wilting? Since I will have the wedding place to ourselves for the whole weekend, I am considering DIYing the arch and garlands, but I would only have time for this on Friday before the Saturday wedding. Thank you!

hi there- I love this video, it is exactly what I've been looking for! Would Israeli Ruscus work to give a similar look?

Hi! Any advice - using Italian ruscus and conditioned it however some of the leaves are falling out and some leaves are going a light colour/yellow. What am I doing wrong? Too much water? Not enough? Temp? Thank you!!!

My niece is getting having a beach wedding in Panama City, Florida in June. She wants me to make her flowers for her ceremony including her bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres. Her colors are light pink, light purple, and white. What flowers do you recommend to use at the beach?

Hello :) I love your videos btw! I'm just wondering WHERE you get your flowers from? (I'm in Langley/Surrey area but able to source from Vancouver or Abbotsford if needed.) Is there a good wholesale flower shop or flower farms near by? I'm hoping to do my own flower arrangements for my wedding. . .

I love your tutorials, but I feel like DIY flowers do not save money at all, when you have to purchase loose flowers from florists.
What do you recommend for people who do not have an access to wholesalers?
I have paid $6 for one stem of each wax flowers and dusty miller.

Hi Lucy! If you're in the U.S., RoseNerds.com sells fresh-cut wholesale flowers and greens directly to consumers. Feel free to reach us at Support@RoseNerds.com for any items you're looking for, even if it's not listed on the website. Good luck! :)

Lucy Capkova this is late, but try sams club! Most of their flowers are about $2-3 per stem, and I have ordered some garden roses, and absolutely loved how they opened up!

you dont recomend use floral foam for garland?

    • @bootahjardinflorists890
      @bootahjardinflorists890  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

It will depend on the type of garland you're making. If you need to make a thick garland with lots and lots of flowers, then yes, you will need floral foam (the flowers will need the support). But for an easy, quick, DIY-friendly project (especially if you're covering a lot of tables) it's best to simplify the steps and make a less complicated garland. I think it's easier for a first time novice to get a professional look when there are minimal steps involved. Hope that helps!

I know this sounds rude, but she is talking way too fast. Interesting video, but I had to listen to the first part of it twice before I could understand what she was even saying.
