    Nice job! The Bronco will always be a cool vehicle. Personally, I'm on team hybrid but I can still appreciate the classic cool of the Bronco.

    Another excellent review, Chris. I usually dislike silver paint jobs, MB & BMW excepted, but the Bronco looks good with it.

    Hey Chris, I remember the '70's with those lumbering 7.0 liter V8's, cranking out 190 horsepower! Looks like the new Bronco lives up to it's name. Excellent review. 👍

    Great review! As usual one of the best I’ve seen for this vehicle. I will be ordering a manual four door once it has been out for a year or two. Glad to hear the smaller engine has enough get up and go

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was truly surprised by that smaller engine, Joel Rayberg. Obviously, more power would be lovely, but at 300-hp and 325 lb ft. of torque, the turbo 4-cylinder made plenty. I could definitely own one of these. Thanks for watching!

      Yeah, it's so tough to get a good seal with the soft top, Paul M, but if you take your time it isn't too bad. And if you'd drive it with the top down often, it's totally worth a little whistle here or there. I truly liked it and could own one for myself. Thanks for watching!

    Another excellent review by Chris. I'm not in either camp. I currently drive a Hyundai Veloster, before that I had a Honda Civic Del Sol, Pontiac Fiero, Dodge Colt, and a 1967 E-type Jaguar (my all time favorite). At this point I can't see buying another gas powered car when I replace my Veloster. Gas is only going to get more expensive and batteries are going to get much cheaper. Also, I checked the Bronco offerings at the Ford dealer in Sandy Springs. They only have two, a Big Bend trim that lists for $38K but has $20K in dealer options; and a Badlands model, list $55K plus $7K of dealer options added. If you don't need the off road, you can buy a Tesla Model Y Long Range for less and have a much lower cost of ownership AND you won't have the hassle of negotiating with a dealer.

    • @AutoAcademics

      All very true, R. Brown. And you made me smile as I read the list of cars that you've owned. 👍🏾 Thanks (as always) for watching!

    Great review! I wonder how dealer markup and quality control will affect sales. Been hearing of people walking away from the sale. 🤔

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, freeman Geiger. Unfortunately, you'll be hard pressed to find any car on a dealer lot that doesn't have a ridiculous markup at this time, so if the pricing at your local dealer is too high, walking away might be the best option until things settle down again. It's not a Bronco thing, it's an industry thing due to low inventory. Hopefully, things will get better sooner than later, though. Thanks for watching!

    Great review. Ford has some interesting offerings in their line up. How is wind noise on the highway. Jeeps always so loud on the highway. Guessing this is similar?

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This soft top can be a bit noisy, as well, if the window panels aren't installed properly, Buff Gordon, but it isn't too bad when everything's sealed up good. The hardtop will be quieter, though. Thanks for watching!

    Nice review. I'm waiting for the order books to open for the 2023 models. Dealer mark-ups on whatever inventory you can find is out of control and I'm not buying a used Bronco for the price of new. I'm just having a hard time deciding on a 2 or 4 door.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, hopefully things will get better sooner than later, Chris Crowley. The 2-door looks great and Ford gave me a choice of that or this 4-door for review. I'm glad I picked the 4-door. It's much more friendly for my family of 4 and I think it looked pretty sick, too. Thanks for watching!

    The only thing I don't like is the auto start/stop feature! I know you can disable it but you have to every time the vehicle is started. That would get annoying!

  • @mowcowbell

    All the Bronco needs is the 5.0L Coyote V8 under the hood.

    Hey Chris. Great Review. I would buy this over the Wrangler at a normal price but not the inflated chip shortage prices.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Right now it's a gamble to get anything that doesn't have the "chip tax" on it, canonlybeme4life. I loved the Wrangler when I had it for review, but this Bronco gives all the social acceptance and clout of a Rubicon, yet drives better in the road. Truly a great truck and one I'd personally own. Thanks for watching!

    The Outer Banks is difficult to find. I can only find the First Edition, Big Bend, and Band lands. NOT the Outer Banks, dealerships tell me I have to wait 5-6 months if order one.

    • @AutoAcademics

  • @ca7889

    Interesting-what's wrong with those rear windows their crimping or were not put in correctly, and of course this one was benchmarked off the jeep wrangler sahara it's competition-which is good. Yet that sound system with the speakers to the rear are crap-my friend has the wildtrak and of course with everything you get your good and bad, he's complained about the tachometer to wit quite a few people are-and what's with the seat belts you can't adjust them and the grab handle on the passenger side should have been placed on the A-pillar-it's awkward for someone to climb in. But all-in-all it is the first year. The funniest part is when you said blasphemy that you received a jeep wave and there were no jeeps that drove by-at least it was not a wrangler-maybe a cherokee. I noticed.

  • @corpnupe85
    @corpnupe85 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you for the video. I also appreciate the back ground music and you did not play that hip hop synthesizer crap music. I am sorry, I am not interested in a 4 cylinder Jeep.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Happy you enjoyed it, John Green. We try to use a mix of music genres that we feel helps set the mood we'd like the video to have. And yeah, a 4-cylinder 4x4 can be tough to wrap your head around, but Ford managed to make some really good power out of this one. We appreciate your comments and thanks for watching!

    2.3 liter four just not enough motor for such heavy vehicle.

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't think so either, until I drove it. That 300-hp is legit and while the larger engines would no doubt be fun, the 4-cylinder had all the grunt you truly need.

    • @corpnupe85

    • @IMGONEIN60

      @Paul M have you driven one?? The previous bronco had 225hp. The 2031 base 2.3T in the bronco has 300hp and the 2.7TT has 330hp with 93oct. Both have plenty of power….
