- We head back down to Sharknado to escape the snow. A scouting mission in the area led us to finding the sickest zone I've ever built in! Will this become a full trail?!

The snowy weather led to me heading back down to Sharknado. I wanted a trick jump at the end... there was no room, but I just found the sickest zone I've ever built in!
Nice work looks sick can’t wait for more!! 💯🤘🙌👍
a channel called MemeFist stole your content from this video and gained almost 1 million views…
That’s absolutely insane! Recently when I’ve been building with my mates we’ve had to stop due to awful weather
Thanks! I'm stoked we finally got a break in the weather here.
Oh nice, Air Ya Garn from the legendary Derby trails in the submissions.
I sense a whole new trail/build project starting here! I really like the idea of you starting from scratch in a new zone. Can't wait to see the first sends!
these are the best building timelapses ive Ever seen
Wow thanks!!
Watching you get fired up gets me fired up to ride. Thanks for the stoke! 👊
Yoooo!!! Thats such a sick build... Imagine the photos shooting on the step up with the beautiful nature around it
For sure!! That’s what I’m thinking. Thanks
Part of me doesn’t want quarantine to end so we can see this series get to 100 episodes
Haha I think we will make it! Covid doesn’t seem to be ending too soon 😕
@@MarkMatthewsMTB come to America! We’ve figured out a way to make a pandemic last as long as possible
I was stoked to c the teaser on ur insta. Early gang!!!
Rad!! Thanks so much.
Absolutely sick! Really vibing to the timelapse music and feeling inspired to go carve out my own line in the woods.
Epic!! Thanks, get after it
Looks amazing Mark your the best
Sick Vid, love your content man!
Thanks dude!
Sick! I was just thinking ab going out and building a step-up, now I’ve got some inspiration! (mine won’t be quite so big tho 😂)✌🏽
haha that is awesome!
That forest is too sick 🤯🤩👌👍🤙💪
So rad!
man last time i looked at ur sub count it was at like 3k and now... CRAZY MAN! thx for another banger!
Cheers man!
Yo so stoked to see my local spot in the video
Rad!!
I don't know what trail you should put it on, but a huge drop would be a sick thing to see you build!
Agreeed 🙂
Been waiting for this video to come out😌
woo thanks man!
Yes great run, your like me so nice person destroyed one off the bridges so spent all day with a chain saw rebuilding I don't understand why people do this as now there are a lot more walkers since covid people I have never seen before think they own the trails there one woman who put branches on the trail as I have caught her, she has a big problem with bikes but lets her dog crap on the trails.
The worst lol
Sick!!!!!!!!!! Im trying to build a short little jump track at my cabin. any suggestions? Thanks for the great content!!!
Look what the land is doing and use it to your advantage. And thanks!
@@MarkMatthewsMTB thanks for the tip!!! I'm so glad that at least one youtuber responds to people in there comments!!!
Dang Mark... you work fast! I put a clip up on Buplup yesterday and it made this cut. Thanks for including me in the cut, btw that step-up looks SO Good! I need to put some time into this weird feature I have at the end of my Trail here in SoCal... there was this big dirt 1/2 moon crater shape I wanted to incorporate, I spent a couple hours and put in a small step-up that gets you up onto the rim.... or you can just roll up on it and ride the rim like a skinny to continue back onto the trail. I want to either make it so the step up is bigger and then clear out the inside of the crater so you can land pretty much anywhere like hip... or shave down the rim of the crater into a rolling double or kind of a curved dirt Wale Tail feature. Any direction or advice would be much appreciated! (or just keep doing what you're doing and I'll pay attention) keep up the good work! ---here's the feature in question btw: th-cam.com/video/MeD9g_pd7kE/w-d-xo.html
Rad stuff! I’d probably make the step up bigger if possible
@@MarkMatthewsMTB thanks for taking a look.
Your channel is extremely underrated amazing vids probs the fastest 11 minutes of my life
Haha amazing thank you!!
your videos are really good!💥
Thanks man!
Hey Mark it would be great if you could do a video showing what tools you use to build. Also maybe links to where we can buy specific bike trail building tools! I love building trails but I feel like there must be better tools out there that I'm missing out on! Thanks keep the inspirational build stuff coming.
Awesome idea!! Rouge tools are my favorite but I’ll definitely do a video
On the new steal up you could maybe build an optional hip landing do add more line choices and then you could then build 2 step downs to reconnect the line
Like a 1/4 hip or something too... would be rad! So many possibilities here
@@MarkMatthewsMTB yeah like off to the left and then merge it back into the jump line through like a drop or a step down
That's so sick
Thanks!
Your Trail is soooooooo sick😱😍
Thanks!!
SOO SICK!
Keep it up Mark
Cheers Oskar! 👊
Looks like a sweet new zone!
How wide should we be Building single flow track? And What’s the minimum for steep tech?
It's really up to you, but it never really needs to be wider tag n2 feet unless you're dealing with really gnarly/ big stuff. My biggest stuff is all about 4-5 feet wide
I am coming to Canada this summer for my first time. I am going to ride whistler bike park, the north shore and Squamish. Do you have any recommendations on which trails I should ride?
Epic!! I am most familiar with the trails in Vancouver Island but you can't go wrong on trail forks! There is too much good stuff to just list a few trails.
After criticizing your _"self talk camera look"_ in one of older vids, i just wanna say, you improved alot! Makes the content much more enjoyable. And the forest terraforming is crazy! Looks so good.
Thanks I appreciate the feedback! Definitely takes practice
So nice 👍 Wait for more 🤘
Thanks!
Your a heeela good rider omg 😱
Thanks so much!
love the videos so much😁 i wish my friends loved building as much as i did
We’re a rare breed lol
@@MarkMatthewsMTB for sure hahah
Please make a decent size wood drop into the run in. I think you'd have a good photograghy situation with that
Would be so sick
Honest question, how can you just go anywhere in the woods and just say, I'm gonna make a trail here. Is it because you are you or can you just do that in BC? I honestly want to build my own trail but everywhere I look it's illegal.
I live in a small town on Vancouver island. We are lucky here with all the open forest available.
@@MarkMatthewsMTB Right on, thanks for that answer. I was so curious for a long time.
Who cares if it’s illegal
worst thing that happens is it gets bulldozed
that’s so dope scenery is nuts- u thinking of making that a whole line or just a one off feature
One off originally but now I want a full trail! The terrain is amazing
Love it
Thanks Todd!
BIIIIG fan of the Intro, dude love it😍
Thanks man!
Insane!!
that is so rad
Hyped!!!!🔨🔮
Here in ct, the roots only go sideways so it’s a huge hassle to make jumps
Ah that sounds annoying
Awesome video, do you have a discount code from PNW by any chance?
Email me! Mark@markymath.com
Yo that’s sick
Cheers!
Do you ever carry bear mace for cougars etc?
No but it wouldn’t be a bad idea, mostly for cougars
dude this is sick
Thanks Connor! Can’t wait to get back to it
Such a sick spot you have there!
What trail did you shred at the end? Cheers!
does the Forest , where you Build belong to you ?
10:08 yo that’s my local trails
😎😎
It would be sick if you Bulid a big drop in to hill
Ha I knew at least one person would mention that! It is pretty perfect for it
What about a step down into a whale tail type thing that transitions from the step down landing to a drop that goes into the step up?
That would
Be badass
7:14 oil those brakes
Lol never put oil on brakes 🙈
I have the same type gullies on my property, how many bike length did u leave in the transition from going downhill to the base of the jump? Mine doesn’t flow so well and it could be part of my problem. Also my run in isn’t as straight as yours, so that could be the real issue.
I did quite a bit of scraping and dirt filling in the belly to mellow out the compression. If you have nice formable dirt I’d recommend doing the same and shape the dirt in a way to help line you up nicer too
What tool do you normally use first to cut trail?
Siick
I made it!
Nice Build! Btw, do you have a permission to build there, or do you just do it illegally?
Can I have a new dirt jumper or a bike because my bike is falling apart and the brakes don’t work my friends are like just get a new bike but thar so much money and I don’t have anuf
What camera do you use for the hyper laps? How its can keep going for hours?
GoPro hero 9 black. Each shot is 1-2 hours of filming and I bring extra batteries and a power bank so I always have a full battery between shots
does any one know how much snow is on the trails in Cumberland right now because i would like to get out and ride but i am not a huge fan of the snow
Still pretty snowy right in cumby
Does anybody know the name of the song please?
1st and already liked
Same
@@felixaspray legends!
Do you ever see/get bears
A few times per year on average, same with cougars ( just as common here)
@@MarkMatthewsMTB ok thank you for explaining

Damn i was trying to write so sick
