I hope you guys like some Viking-inspired BLACK METAL! This song is actually composed by one of my patrons - Shredkettle! A while back he asked for me and Bradley to re-do and re-imagine this song, and I think it came out pretty dang neat. I know a lot of you have been asking for more growling - so here you go!
You can check out Shredkettle's bandcamp for more fun tunes!

She is very versatile. I remember her!. From Temperance. I didn;t imagine she coul do this
The screaming voice reminds of Angela Gossow!
Thank you so much! Such a huge compliment since she's my first inspiration for harsh vocals 😍
This is the first time I hear you scream, and it was beautiful! 😮
Oh heck yes! h/t to Dies Mali for the recommendation!
We gotta pump up the likes. These are rookie numbers.
EN! TVÅ! TRE! FYRA!
Hahaha the best bit!
Kristin and Viking black metal. 2 things that i love
🇫🇮❤how you both looked & sounded stunning in this video. Temperance is blessed to have you join them officially.
Damn! I wasn’t expecting this, but of course you nailed it - your vocal versatility really is something else. Also since I don’t think I said this yet, congrats on officially joining Temperance :)
Damn!! Awesome!!
These Black Metal screams are killer.
Holy Shit! That slaps, I love it!
I don't usually listen to black metal, but the chorus in this song is absolutely gorgeous.
Epic
It's beautiful!😍 Thank you for doing this video ❤
Great song! 🤘
Awesome song, awesome cover!
LOVE this song!!!
I've watched this at least ten times already, fantastic song and performance!
I guess a song can be terrifying and beautiful at the same time
Haha, is there anything you can't sing?? This rocks!!🤘🏼✨🖤✨🤘🏼
Amazing!
Can't wait for Temperance album.
Came back for a second listen
... and a third... and a forth 🤣
Great Track 🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍✌✌✌💥💯💓
The verse of this song actually reminded me a lot of the band Einherjer, which is quite fitting!
Holy shit gurllllllll 😮😮😮
Ha this rocks hard!
Black Metal, really?!? That's completely surreal! I knew you could but I didn't know you would haha. Flawless!!!
This is insanely good
so emotional and so brutal at the same time! \m/
What the.. that's some killer harsh vocals! \m/
En två tre fyra!
🤘🤘🤘
Ufff, sorprendente cambio de registro vocal. Me sorprende gratamente está vocal / cantante.
I love your voice ❤🤘🏽
Great song and video.
The count 3:39 in swedish is perfect!!!
She replied to a comment of mine once saying that she lives in Sweden so that would explain it.
it sounds very close to german counting aswell
Kristin ❤
Came here because of Skar! So glad I did!
OMH!!! 🤘🤘 Greatest!!
Looks like you had allot of fun doing this. Great Job!
You are amazing. Doing the deep screaming, and then the beautiful 3 part harmony on top. Wow!
Yeah... That's awesome.
🖤
That's so beautiful oh my goood ! The part before the guitar solo is exquisite 😍 and damn didn't know you could use harsh vocal like that, that so cool ! You keep me surprised by your talent 🔥
Always a 10/10
Nice!!
Oh hell yes!! Thank you! 🤘
Que voz ufff genial tanto gutural cómo melódico fuego🔥🤘🏻

@@KristinStarkey you are very welcome! it is a pleasure to be your fan!
The queen delivers once again, absolutely epic 😍😍😍
Daruma 🔥
Grymt👍😀
Spectacular, I do enjoy a mix of gutteral black metal growls with heavenly (Valhallan) harmony interludes, especially when supported by ripping Bradly shreds! Wish I could find the lyrics...
My voice teacher recommended Kristen
Great job, Kristin! Given the name of the song, I knew to expect harsh vocals (which keep sounding better with every song you use them in), but I didn't expect your singing in the chorus. What was a wonderful surprise! And speaking of that chorus, it reminded me of the sung portion of Dimmu Borgir's "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse." If that was an intentional homage, I'd say that was very well done!
Very well spotted 😉. It was deliberate and I'm super glad someone noticed it :D
Thankyou for a great song👍
Awesome!!
Lovely c:
Im #699, was hoping for an even number but … the song is much better than my like ranking. Lol.
This just sounds like something Amon Amarth would sing about… like they would sing about this song, not just the story, but the valkyrie that sang the song telling the actual historical story. Does that make sense? Anyway, she is absolutely amazing!
Wooooioooooooow!!! I love your Black Metal style growling!!! And the blend with clean voices is perfect!!! Yeah!!! 🤘😲😈🤩
Me suscribí a tu canal en cuanto terminó la actuacion de Twilight Force en "Leyendas del rock" España. Gran actuacion, felicitaciones a toda la banda, pero especialmente a ti. Absolutamente impresionante tu tecnica vocal. WOW. Te deseo mucho exito.
Absolutely stunning!
Oh hell yeah! Insane job, love the harsh vocal!
Another great perfomance!!
Simply incredible.
WOW! You Scream Too?? I was already in love with your singing and now this. Awesome work! Can't wait for more harsh vocal stuff!
My gawd! Screaming I actually LIKE! (I will always vastly prefer high cleans.) You are amazing!
If you’re interested in the black metal experience but not the harsh vocals, you should listen to Svarthamar, it was created for the movie Málmhaus (metalhead) and is supposed to be a clean version of a black metal song for the main character’s village. It’s really good
Absolutely amazing. The range of *techniques* is brilliant. 👏👏🙂
(Do you know who did the art in the background? That was pretty cool too!)
It's generated through Midjourney, inspired by the art of Stephen Gammell ❤
@@KristinStarkey (looking up Stephen Gammell)...oh, thank you! (continues looking up Stephen Gammell) 🤘🙂
@@KristinStarkey I see someone is a huge fan of Scary Stories to tell in the Dark and Gammells artwork is second to non. So which collection is the fav? 1, 2 or 3? Mine favorite is the story of when the head rolls down the chimney, book 1. I think.
@@louisyoung1916look up scary stories to tell in the dark. His artwork on that whole series of books is second to none.
I usually don't listen black metal songs, but only for you I will listen your black metal songs, sweetie 😍🥰💞💓🌹🎧🎤🎸🎼🎶🎵
The vocal clarity on those screams is something else. awesome.
u deserve more & more
Do valhalla calling!!
OMG! What is wrong with this woman?... she is perfect!
The perfect woman doesn't exi...
...wait, what?!
That was awesome!
This is like a viking metal Blind Guardian. Really cool, saving it to my playlist.
😍 p.s. i am the backstage
I am also Slovenia
When we think of "angels" ...........................................
We forget that they are also ................... warriors!
So how then would they actually sound? (be it fallen or not)
I, for one, always revert to Lewis ..
"In the plastic arts these symbols have steadily degenerated. Fra Angelico’s angels carry in their face and gesture the peace and authority of heaven. Later come the chubby infantile nudes of Raphael; finally the soft, slim, girlish and consolatory angels of nineteenth-century art, shapes so feminine that they avoid being voluptuous only by their total insipidity-the frigid houris of a tea-table paradise. They are a pernicious symbol. In Scripture the visitation of an angel is always alarming; it has to begin by saying “Fear not.” The Victorian angel looks as if it were going to say “There, there.”
The literary symbols are more dangerous because they are not so easily recognised as symbolical. Those of Dante are the best. Before his angels we sink in awe. His devils, as Ruskin rightly remarked, in their rage, spite and obscenity, are far more like what the reality must be than anything in Milton. Milton’s devils, by their grandeur and high poetry, have done great harm, and his angels owe too much to Homer and Raphael. But the really pernicious image is Goethe’s Mephistopheles. It is Faust, not he, who really exhibits the ruthless, sleepless, unsmiling concentration upon self which is the mark of hell. The humorous, civilized, sensible, adaptable Mephistopheles has helped to strengthen the illusion that evil is liberating."
Use your own imagination from there ..
Lost me with the slow start. It's Monday! Let's go!
Not my song but I think the build-up is cool 😊
Kristin screaming is something I didn't need!
... okay 😆
Don’t get me wrong - I *think* I really like it - but DANG those screams coming from an opera singer are…disconcerting. I would say the cross-over is complete!
Won't need a mic to reach the back row :D
Trust me, they are extremely safe! I would never do anything to jeopardize my voice 😊
@@KristinStarkey I was pretty sure you would never! As I’ve actually developed a taste for true opera over the last few years - you can thank metal! - will you be continuing to perform and/or post actual opera?
For the millionth time Vikings didn't have horn helmets. Damn get your s*** together before you put a video out another facts
Lmao touch grass dork
My guess is they also didn't make Black metal 🤣 Hope you have a great day 😁
Kristin Starkey and the rest is boring
Maybe you should try something challenging, like Jarkko Ahola. He is The male Floor, anything and everything. With Marko, Toni Kakko and JP. Leppäluoto = "Northern Kings"
