One day when heaven was filled with His praises, One day when sin was as black as could be, Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin- Dwelt among men, my example is He! Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me; Buried, He carried my sins far away; Rising, He justified freely forever: One day He’s coming-O glorious day! 2 One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain, One day they nailed Him to die on the tree; Suffering anguish, despised and rejected; Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He. 3 One day they left Him alone in the garden, One day He rested, from suffering free; Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil; Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He. 4 One day the grave could conceal Him no longer, One day the stone rolled away from the door; Then He arose, over death He had conquered; Now is ascended, my Lord evermore. 5 One day the trumpet will sound for His coming, One day the skies with His glory will shine; Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing; Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!
Wonderful and marvelous singing. One day when the Lord Jesus comes it is indeed a glorious day and joyful day...praising and giving God the honor and glory due to His precious name.
What happened to all of the larger churches using the hymnals? Is it because of the Southern Baptist Convention? I am a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL and we haven't used a hymnal for almost 14 years. How would you suggest we start a petition to bring the hymnal back?
@@hwayneharvey Go to your pastor and tell him to get those hymnals out of storage, and put them back in the pews. If they don't use them, tell him you won't sing along with anything else until they do. Wait for his reaction. Then you'll know what to do.
I like some contemporary, but it's hard to beat these old hymns of our Christian Faith. They're so uplifting and make you happy to hear and sing. 😊❤️ The millinials have no idea what they are missing. #neverquitsinginghymns #getthehymnsbackinchurch
I don't know the song leader's name, but I think he is exceptional not only in being able to lead the singing, but even more to share his love for the Lord in such a positive way that those gathered together are moved to raise their voices in praise. There is no doubt that God's presence can be both seen and felt at Southwest Baptist Church. Thanks so much for sharing your congregational videos. Many of the songs can be found in our Methodist Hymnal, but since there are a number of other beautiful hymns of promise and praise, I was able to purchase a copy of your Baptist hymnal to both learn and share some of the songs in our congregation as well.
Yes Lord, one day he’s coming for this messed up world.
One day when heaven was filled with His praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin-
Dwelt among men, my example is He!
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever:
One day He’s coming-O glorious day!
2
One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected;
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He.
3
One day they left Him alone in the garden,
One day He rested, from suffering free;
Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil;
Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He.
4
One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,
One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then He arose, over death He had conquered;
Now is ascended, my Lord evermore.
5
One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,
One day the skies with His glory will shine;
Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing;
Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!
Precious old hymns I learned as a child. Now that I am 78, they are still in my memory & are still a blessing !!🙌🙌
One day we will all together praise our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, Ameen

I am a Music minister also and am glad to see a larger church still using the hymnals..

@@hwayneharvey : Are they still in the pews? The church I grew up in removed them so it's not even an option to use them.
I'm glad that our Church still sings the old hymns...And I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (California)...!!!
Nooooo...treeeees!!!

Beautiful song.
